Contextual Action Theory (CAT) is a conceptual, methodological, and practical framework that is consistent with these calls. The Role of Perceived Social Support as a Contributor to the Successful Transition from Primary to Lower Secondary School

Following approximately 1,800 Finnish children, this longitudinal study examined the associations between students’ perceived social support (teacher-student relationships, family support, and peer support), behavioral engagement, cynicism towards school, and academic achievement during the transition from primary to lower secondary school. After controlling for parental educational level and cynicism before the school transition, the results showed that the more students experienced pre-transition peer support, the less they reported post-transition cynicism. The neutral digallene AriPr4GaGaAriPr4 (AriPr4 = C6H3-2,6-(C6H3-2,6-iPr2)2) was shown to react at ca. 25 °C in pentane solution with group 6 transition metal carbonyl complexes M(CO)6 (M = Cr, Mo, W) under UV irradiation to afford compounds of the general formula trans-[M(GaAriPr4)2(CO)4] in modest yields. The bis(gallanediyl) complexes were characterized spectroscopically and by X-ray crystallography, which demonstrated that they were isostructural. In each complex, the gallium atom is two-coordinate with essentially linear geometry, which is relatively rare for gallanediyl-substituted transition metal species. Tämän tutkielman tavoitteena oli selvittää esikouluikäisten odotuksia alkuopetukseen siirtymisestä kertomuksin ja kuvin. Aikaisempaa tutkimusta siirtymävaiheesta esi- ja alkuopetuksen välillä löytyy paljon, mutta lasten näkökulma on jäänyt vähemmälle tarkastelulle ja siksi toteutin tutkimuksen tästä näkökulmasta. Koulusiirtymää tarkasteltiin tutkimuksen teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä Bronfrenbrennerin (1979) ekologisen teorian ja ohjaavien asiakirjojen näkökulmista.
