Abstract Phylogenetic relationships in the genus Anthyllis (Leguminosae: Papilionoideae: Loteae) were investigated using data from the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer regions (ITS) and three plastid regions (psbA–trnH intergenic spacer, petB–petD region and rps16 intron). Bayesian and maximum parsimony (MP) analysis of a concatenated plastid dataset recovered well-resolved trees that are topologically similar, with many clades supported by unique indels. Random amplified polymorphic DNA–polymerase chain reaction (RAPD–PCR) analysis was applied to differentiate the sibling species Saccharomyces bayanus, S. cerevisiae, S. paradoxus and S. pastorianus, which constitute the most common strains of the Saccharomyces sensu stricto complex. Six decamer primers of arbitrary sequences were used to amplify the DNA of 58 strains. Species-specific (diagnostic) bands were obtained for each species. To search for cytogenetic signatures that can help to clarify evolutionary affinities among the five orders within the Euarchontoglires clade, we focused on associations of conserved syntenic blocks that have been accumulated in the karyotypes of Primates (Strepsirhini and Haplorhini), five families of Rodentia, Scandentia (Tupaia belangeri), Dermoptera (Galeopterus variegatus) and Lagomorpha (Oryctolagus cuniculus). Approximate energy functionals for one-body reduced density matrix functional theory from many-body perturbation theory

We develop a systematic approach to construct energy functionals of the one-particle reduced density matrix (1RDM) for equilibrium systems at finite temperature. The starting point of our formulation is the grand potential $\Omega [\mathbf{G}]$ regarded as variational functional of the Green's function $G$ based on diagrammatic many-body perturbation theory and for which we consider either the Klein or Luttinger-Ward form. By restricting the input Green's function to be one-to-one related to a set on one-particle reduced density matrices (1RDM) this functional becomes a functional of the 1RDM. In the last years the Missione Archeologica Italiana di Hierapolis di Frigia (MAIER) has recovered some important epigraphic documents which offer new data for the history of the city of Hierapolis, its bishopric, and the surrounding territory in Late Antiquity (4th-6th cent.). The most recently published inscriptions are discussed in this paper in their historical context (parr. 1-3) and the development of Hierapolis’ bishopric and its episcopal prosopography between the 4th and the 9th cent. are analyzed through the examination of literary and epigraphical sources and the comparison with other relevant cities of Western Asia Minor (par. 4.a-f).
