catena-[µ-Tris(1,2-bis(tetrazol-1-yl)ethane-N4,N4')iron(II)] bis(tetrafluoroborate): synthesis, structure, spectroscopic and magnetic characterizatio…
2002
In analogy to a common synthesis of 1-substituted 5-H tetrazoles (Tetrahedron Lett. 36 (1995)1759; Beloruss. Gos. Univ., Minsk, USSR. Khim. Geterotsikl. Soedin. 11 (1985) 1521; Beloruss. Gos. Univ., Minsk, USSR. Khim. Geterotsikl. Soedin. 1 (1991) 66; BGU, Belarus. Vestsi Akad. Navuk Belarusi, Ser. Khim. Navuk 1 (1992) 73), the new bidentate ligand 1,2-bis(tetrazol-1-yl)ethane [endi] was synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction, NMR, IR and UV–Vis spectroscopy. By using iron(II) tetrafluoroborate hexahydrate the complexation with this ligand yields a 1-dimensional linear coordination polymer similar to the recently published chain compound (Inorg. Chem. 39 (2000) 1891) exhibiting …
Influence of Peripheral Substitution on the Magnetic Behavior of Single-Ion Magnets Based on Homo- and Heteroleptic TbIIIBis(phthalocyaninate)
2013
A series of homoleptic ([Tb(III)(Pc)(2) ]) and heteroleptic ([Tb(III)(Pc)(Pc')]) Tb(III) bis(phthalocyaninate) complexes that contain different peripheral substitution patterns (i.e., tert-butyl or tert-butylphenoxy groups) have been synthesized in their neutral radical forms and then reduced into their corresponding anionic forms as stable tetramethylammonium/tetrabutylammonium salts. All of these compounds were spectroscopically characterized and their magnetic susceptibility properties were investigated. As a general trend, the radical forms exhibited larger energy barriers for spin reversal than their corresponding reduced compounds. Remarkably, heteroleptic complexes that contain elect…
Whole genome sequencing of the black grouse (Tetrao tetrix): reference guided assembly suggests faster-Z and MHC evolution
2014
Background The different regions of a genome do not evolve at the same rate. For example, comparative genomic studies have suggested that the sex chromosomes and the regions harbouring the immune defence genes in the Major Histocompatability Complex (MHC) may evolve faster than other genomic regions. The advent of the next generation sequencing technologies has made it possible to study which genomic regions are evolutionary liable to change and which are static, as well as enabling an increasing number of genome studies of non-model species. However, de novo sequencing of the whole genome of an organism remains non-trivial. In this study, we present the draft genome of the black grouse, wh…
Cost-driven framework for progressive compression of textured meshes
2019
International audience; Recent advances in digitization of geometry and radiometry generate in routine massive amounts of surface meshes with texture or color attributes. This large amount of data can be compressed using a progressive approach which provides at decoding low complexity levels of details (LoDs) that are continuously refined until retrieving the original model. The goal of such a progressive mesh compression algorithm is to improve the overall quality of the transmission for the user, by optimizing the rate-distortion trade-off. In this paper, we introduce a novel meaningful measure for the cost of a progressive transmission of a textured mesh by observing that the rate-distor…
Free movement of services in the European Union and in the Eurasian Economic Union. Similarities and differences
2017
The European Union (EU) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) are international organizations integrating member states, primarily in the economic field. Both organizations guarantee four economic freedoms: free movement of goods, services, labor, and capital. One of these freedoms:free movement of services is particularly important. It should be noted that within the customs union of the EU and the EAEU the internal customs barriers have been eliminated, and for the exchange of services between these organizations, only the borders between the two unions remain an obstacle. For this reason, legal regulations concerning the free movement of services in the EU and the EAEU determine the opp…
An Improved Receiver Architecture for Cyclic-Prefixed OFDM
2009
A novel Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing receiver architecture to be employed with standard (e.g. Wireless LAN) transmitters is proposed. It features enhanced error-rate performance with flexible computational complexity and robustness to imperfect channel estimation. It is based on exploitation of the redundancy available in the cyclic prefix after cancellation of interference from the previous block. In order to show the effectiveness of our proposal, a number of comparisons to the standard per-subcarrier receiver and a previously existing method are reported.
A simple algorithm for drawing large graphs on small screens
1995
Viewing a large graph in limited display space has traditionally been accomplished using either reduced scale rendering of the graph or by attaching scrollbars to a view window which shows only a small portion of the entire graph. Recent work, however, has concentrated on integrating a locally detailed view with a globally scaled view. We present an algorithm for constructing a view which smoothly integrates local detail and global context in a single view window and describe user interaction with such a display.
Noncooperative dynamic games for inventory applications: A consensus approach
2008
We focus on a finite horizon noncooperative dynamic game where the stage cost of a single player associated to a decision is a monotonically nonincreasing function of the total number of players making the same decision. For the single-stage version of the game, we characterize Nash equilibria and derive a consensus protocol that makes the players converge to the unique Pareto optimal Nash equilibrium. Such an equilibrium guarantees the interests of the players and is also social optimal in the set of Nash equilibria. For the multi-stage version of the game, we present an algorithm that converges to Nash equilibria, unfortunately not necessarily Pareto optimal. The algorithm returns a seque…
1,4-Dimethyl-3-phenyl-3H-pyrazolo[3,4-c]isoquinolin-5(4H)-one
2008
The title compound, C18H15N3O, is the product of the thermal decomposition of the diazonium salt derived from 2-amino-N-methyl-N-(3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)benzamide. It is characterized by a trans orientation of the methyl groups with respect to the tricyclic ring system. The molecule has a nearly planar phenylpyrazolo[3,4-c]isoquinolin-5-one system, the largest deviation from the mean plane being 0.066 (2) angstrom for the O atom. The dihedral angle between the phenyl substituent and the heterotricycle is 67 (1)degrees. The packing is stabilized by C-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen-bond interactions, with the formation of molecular chains along the c axis.
