Rozwód w prawie Polskiego Autokefalicznego Kościoła Prawosławnego: ewolucja instytucji w XX wieku

2018

Christian religions are differ significantly in their approach to termination of marriage by means of divorce. The Orthodox Church, accepting the sacramental character of marriage, allows for divorce and agrees for marrying again. An important role in shaping of religious norms is played by the autocephalous system within the Church. In accordance with it, the church canons based on the dogmas of the Orthodox Church must be interpreted with respect to the situation of the local church and with respect to the particular point in history. The legal perspective determined in that way indicates the sensitivity of the Church for social changes, which also influence the way termination of marriag…

Measuring the social impact of research in Paediatric Dentistry: An Altmetric study.

2019

Background: Traditional metrics have been extensively used to evaluate the scientific performance. Despite being widespread accepted, citation-based metrics are not able to describe the social impact of research. A diverse metric, Altmetric, was proposed to overcome those limitations. Aim: This study aims to analyse the social impact of research in the field of paediatric dentistry and to assess if a correlation exists between the JCR citations, the AAS score, and the recently released Dimensions citation count. Design: A bibliometric study was conducted on the four journals related to Paediatric Dentistry listed in the JCR from 2014 to 2017. Descriptive statistics was used to describe the …

Generation Z and Organizational Listening on Social Media

2020

Young people are avid users of social media and have appeared as a powerful force for social change, as shown by the ranks of those who have joined Greta Thunberg in the global climate movement. In addition to challenging political institutions and governments, young people today are also holding the corporate world accountable. To respond to young people’s expectations, brands, and organizations have turned to social media to interact and build relationships with them. However, critics have lamented that these attempts often fail and that young people’s trust in institutions, brands, and organizations continues to decline. This article asks how young people perceive organizational listenin…

Job skill discretion and emotion control strategies as antecedents of recovery from work

2014

Recovery from work protects employees’ health and well-being, and therefore it is important to understand its antecedents. The aim of this study conducted among 183 middle-aged participants drawn from the Finnish Jyvaskyla Longitudinal Study of Personality and Social Development was to examine whether job skill discretion and emotion control strategies (emotional rumination and emotional inhibition) are related to psychological aspects of recovery from work (subjective recovery evaluation, psychological detachment and relaxation). The results of hierarchical general linear models confirmed the hypothesis that job skill discretion is positively associated with subjective recovery evaluation …

Victim Blaming and Recognition: Boundaries of Media Discourse on Gender Violence

2016

Face-to-Face with the Doctor Online: Phenomenological Analysis of Patient Experience of Teleconsultation.

2022

The global crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic has considerably accelerated the adoption of teleconsultation—a form of consultation between patient and health care professional that occurs via videoconferencing platforms. For this reason, it is important to investigate the way in which this form of interaction modifies the nature of the clinical encounter and the extent to which this modification impacts the healing process. For this purpose, I will refer to insights into the clinical encounter as a face-to-face encounter drawn from the phenomenology of medicine (R. Zaner, K. Toombs, E. Pellegrino). I will also take into account a criticism that has been expressed by various contemporary phenom…

Creating a new epistemiology for tourism and hospitality disciplines

2013

The present paper develops the need for an all-encompassing view of tourism, exploring the limitations of other previous approaches. Under the premise that tourism is associated to a dream-like sub-system which controls social and personal behaviour, it is hypothesised that a new methodology of understanding tourism from a cross-cultural point of view, rather than purely a Western point of view, is needed. Our thesis is that there is not one unique definition of tourism, but many definitions, adjusted to the requirements of each society, and demanding a new systemic dialogue involving economics, religion, politics and security. This is an inter-linguistic effort to link the most representat…
