En esta investigación se estudian las percepciones del alumnado de Educación Secundaria (15-17 años), en función de su género y nivel educativos (educación obligatoria y postobligatoria), hacia tres aspectos relacionados con la función social de la ciencia. Los 158 participantes cumplimentaron un cuestionario validado internacionalmente, que nos ha permitido alcanzar datos diagnósticos respecto a estos factores que indica un mayor reconocimiento sobre la importancia del papel de la Ciencia en la sociedad, frente a los restantes, que decrecen en el siguiente orden: adopción de actitudes científicas e interés respecto a ella en el tiempo de ocio, respectivamente. Transition to adulthood and recession: a qualitative study

While the transition to adulthood has been broadly examined, less is known about the impact of economic recession on the well-being and psychosocial functioning of young people. The present study used qualitative interviews with 12 college students to understand their experience. Consensual qualitative research was used to analyse data and develop core themes around young people’s experiences. Interviews focused on how young people perceived the impact of the economic recession on their social context and on emotional, behavioural, and interpersonal dimensions. Pētījuma „Sociālā funkcionēšana pēc aortas vārstuļa protezēšanas vēlīnajā pēcoperācijas periodā” mērķis ir izpētīt sociālo funkcionēšanu pēc aortas vārstuļa protezēšanas vēlīnajā pēcoperācijas periodā un noteikt baiļu iespējamo ietekmi sociālās funkcionēšanas rādītājos. Kvantitatīvā pētījuma rezultātā hipotēzes tiek galvenokārt apstiprinātas. Iegūtie dati raksturo fizisko un emocionālo pašsajūtu, attiecības ar līdzcilvēkiem un dzīvesveidu pēc aortas vārstuļa protezēšanas, kā arī baiļu ietekmi uz šiem rādītājiem. This paper aims to describe the function of Kuri and Pasai myths for the native people of Wondama Bay. The mythical function itself as part of oral literature aims to enrich the understanding of the indigenous people of Wondama Bay about its oral literature. Myths Kuri and Pasai is the cultural result of the people of Wondama Bay which continues to be passed down from generation to generation. Schizophrenia remains one of the major psychiatric disorder with huge social and economic costs for the individual and community. The role of psycho-social factors is important both on the etiopathogenesis of the illness and its evolution, lack of social functioning and associated stress have impact on everyday life of people with this diagnosis. Abstract Self-compassion is considered to be a healthy and adaptive attitude towards oneself, occurring both as a feature, as well as a state. Self-compassionate attitude towards oneself is composed of: a) kindness and understanding given to oneself b) mindfulness of one’s own experiences and c) a sense of community of experiences with humanity.
