W artykule przedstawia się wizję wspólnoty obecnie mieszkającego we Francji filozofa i teologa Jeana Vaniera. W jego osobie zauważa się łączenie wiedzy z doświadczeniem, teorię z praktyką. Owocem tych „łączeń” jest istniejąca do dzisiaj wspólnota L 'Arche.

The crisis of values, authority and identity that affects contemporary Europe encourages the Church to act that will protect Christians from axiological and morał degradation. One of the areas that can do this through their methods is Catholic social teaching. The article is a presentation of the most important assumptions of Catholic social science and an indication of how concepts of the nation and State together with goals and rights and obligations should be implemented so that both the Citizen and the rulers can strive for the common good.

This dissertation focuses on the social philosophy of humor from the viewpoint of Erich Fromm’s critical humanistic thinking. The work consists of an introduction and four individual articles. The introduction discusses Fromm’s theories in relation to the phenomenon of humor to provide a basis for the articles. The central aim is to understand the dynamic nature of humor and how it is related to the problem of being a paradoxical creature, that is, a human being. The Human Right to Social Security and Its Impact on Socio-Political Action in Germany and Finland

Social human rights have rarely been given attention in social work research or comparative studies on welfare states. The paper aims at filling the gap by analysing the conception of human beings inherent in human rights and in unemployment policy documents in Germany and Finland. Its focus lies on the right to social security, a central norm of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The main question is what impact does the right to social security have on socio-political action in Germany and Finland.
