This chapter ties together discussions of citizenship and social work practice in the context of growing populist and neoliberal political trends in Finland. These political trends are manifested in populist right-wing nationalist movements on the one hand, and in the neoliberal dismantling of the welfare state on the other. Both political trends – right-wing nationalist populism and neoliberalism – tend to separate people into two groups: those who are ‘deserving’ and those who are ‘undeserving’. Są istotnym dopełnieniem prezentowanej koncepcji triady determinant bezpieczeństwa. Obejmują następujące czynniki: środowisko rodzinne, środowisko zawodowe (pracy), postawy społeczne wobec służb społecznych, status społeczny i prestiż zawodowy, kulturę prawną oraz kulturę bezpieczeństwa. Katalog ten jest otwarty i elastyczny. Jego pojemność może zwiększać się w toku dyskursu prowadzonego wokół zagadnień bezpieczeństwa pracowników służb społecznych.

Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan ryhmähaastatteluaineiston avulla lapsi- ja perhepalveluiden ammattilaisten asiantuntijuutta suhteessa kokemusasiantuntijuuteen. Tutkimuksessa havaittiin kolme erilaista ammatillisen asiantuntijuuden muotoa. Ensimmäinen asiantuntijuuden muoto nimettiin yhteistyöasiantuntijuudeksi, mikä viittaa asiakkaiden kanssa yhteiseen tiedonmuodostukseen ja toimintaan. Bezpieczeństwo pracowników społecznych jest warunkowane odpowiednimi determinantami. Do podstawowych zalicza się determinanty systemowe, determinanty osobowe oraz determinanty środowiskowe. W grupie determinant osobowych wyróżnia się cztery zasadnicze czynniki warunkujące bezpieczeństwo pracowników służb społecznych. Są to w szczególności: pozytywna selekcja do zawodu, predyspozycje osobowościowe, przygotowanie merytoryczne i morale zawodowe.
