In Aranguren’s work the religious dimension is crucial, when he deals with it from the point of view of the “religious studies” and also when he deals with it from the ethical perspective. In the second case Aranguren speaks about an “ethics open to religion”. The article tries to show that in the second case there is an evolution in Aranguren’s thought with two stages. In the first one, religion appears as the satisfaction of human aspirations, rooted in an ethics which is grounded in metaphysics. An International Survey of Quality and Safety Programs in Radiology

Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the status of radiology quality improvement programs in a variety of selected nations worldwide. Methods: A survey was developed by select members of the International Economics Committee of the American College of Radiology on quality programs and was distributed to committee members. Members responded on behalf of their country. The 51-question survey asked about 12 different quality initiatives which were grouped into 4 themes: departments, users, equipment, and outcomes. Resumen En buena parte de los 17 objetivos de desarrollo sostenible marcados como metas de la humanidad por la ONU se deja entrever la sostenibilidad. Debido al modelo socioproductivo dominante, el único modo de avanzar hacia territorios más sostenibles que permitan alcanzar y mantener el bienestar de la población mundial, es tener presente la necesidad de planificar adecuadamente el desarrollo territorial. Este trabajo reflexiona sobre esta necesidad y avanza en la definición de los principales criterios para alcanzar la sostenibilidad territorial en las escalas regionales y locales.
Diversity begets diversity: A global perspective on gender equality in scientific society leadership.

Research shows that gender inequality is still a major issue in academic science, yet academic societies may serve as underappreciated and effective avenues for promoting female leadership. That is, society membership is often self-selective, and board positions are elected (with a high turnover compared to institutions)—these characteristics, among others, may thus create an environment conducive to gender equality. We therefore investigate this potential using an information-theoretic approach to quantify gender equality (male:female ratios) in zoology society boards around the world. In contemporary societies we are witnessing an expansion of the messages of human capital. These messages have as their central dimension idea of the self-entrepreneur, which implies a deepening in the logic of activation, while blurring the wage relations. In this scenario, young people with university degrees are becoming a favourite target in the offensive of human capital. The penetration of these human capital messages can be seen in the discourses of young university students who have been forced to leave the country during the crisis.
