La transformación ética de la racionalidad económica en Amartya Sen. Una recuperación de Adam Smith
2006
The aim of this article is to show the necessity of includying ethic elements in the economic rationality, that goes beyond the self-interest and egoism. From a critic of the homo oeconomicus and an exposition of the deficiencies of the egoist rationality, we see how the incorporation of ethic elements is a reflection of the real and rational behaviour of the individuals. Nowadays, Amartya Sen is the one who mainly proposes this theory, but it has in its basis the ethical recuperation of the Adam Smith's work. Finally, we show how the sympathy and commitment are two of the elements of this ethical rationality, but also the values like the confidence or loyalty, which goes beyond a simple ec…
Copérnico y el humanismo renacentista
2008
This article analyzes the Copernicus' position in the Renaissanse Humanism. Copernico belongs in time (1473-1543) and literary activities to the second Humanism. His printed work within the Humanae litterae is merely symbolic. But his scientific work reflects the so called 'dream of humanism', and that is to conquer a new civilization by the means of languages and classic cultures recovering. Far from the controversy against the contemporary science (scholasticism), Copernicus' references and criticisms to the greek and latin authors act as a support for the new model of Universe.
L'evolució filosòfica de Josep Lluís Blasco.
2005
In this paper Josep Lluís Blasco¿s philosophical evolution is expounded. If we leave aside an initial tentative period, during which he studied Whitehead¿s and Heidegger¿s metaphysics, Marxism, and analytical philosophy, we can clearly distinguish in it two periods. In the first one, till 1975, he assumed the presuppositions of analytical philosophy of ordinary language, and proceeded with the idea of improving its method, particularly categorical analysis. In the second one, from 1979 on, although still connected to the analytical tradition, he did not join any trend or school, and started his reflection on transcendentality. With this line, presented as an alternative way to Quine¿s natur…
Creer en Darwin: sobre las relaciones entre marco científico e interpretación filosófica.
2003
John Dewey¿s Experience and Nature (1925) is an attempt to draw the metaphysical consequences of modern developments in the natural sciences, particularly Darwinism. Recently, Richard Rorty has criticized Dewey¿s metaphysical stance, which he proposes to replace by a more straightforward compromise with historicism. This paper argues that Rorty misreads the meaning of historicism, and fails to make sense of the naturalistic attitude expressed in Dewey¿s metaphysics.
(Una) meditació nishidiana
2011
According to Nishida, the logic of subject neither allows a proper treatment of the problem of completeness nor eliminates the Cartesian anxiety. He proposes therefore its replacement by the logic of predicate, here understood as a place (basho) which, in the end, turns out to be nothingness. After considering the difficulty of translating Japanese to European languages and its ability to allow a nonsubstantive treatment of mind, a consideration is offered of the solution of those problems by the new logic. This logic would make feasible the expression of a rational mysticism in line with the middle way school and zen, which is compatible with a naturalist solution of the same problems. The…
La libertad en el principio de la doctrina de la ciencia de Fichte
2006
After the overcoming of Hegel's influential interpretatation, fichtean philosopy of Jena can be considered directly as the philosophy of freedom. In fact, freedom is in the beginning (Anfang) of the 'Theory of Science' (Wissenschaftslehre), it is its principle (Prinzip) and the unconditioned ground (Grund) of the theoretical and practical experience too. This philosophy of freedom wants to overcome Kant's transcendental Idealism.
La crítica de Josep Lluís Blasco a la filosofia contemporània
2011
In this article we are attending to Josep Lluís Blasco's surveys, especially to his contemporary philosophy's criticism. We're talking about Marxism, logical empiricism, Wittgenstein's philosophy and Quine's ontology. We're pondering by means of Blasco's main articles about his more important philosophic interests, those that he bothers to revise, and about his conception with regard to relevant functions to the theory of knowledge
