Inflammation plays a major pathological role in spinal cord injury (SCI). Although antiinflammatory treatment using the glucocorticoid methyprednisolone sodium succinate (MPSS) improved outcomes in several multicenter clinical trials, additional clinical experience suggests that MPSS is only modestly beneficial in SCI and poses a risk for serious complications. Nucleophilic substitution of the ethoxy substituent in the Fischer carbene complex (ethoxy)(ferrocenyl)carbene(pentacarbonyl)chromium(0) (1) by ferrocenyl amide [Fc-NH]– [2-H]– gives the hetero trimetallic complex (aminoferrocenyl)(ferrocenyl)carbene (pentacarbonyl)chromium(0) (3). As the Cr(CO)5 fragment is isolobal to oxygen or sulfur 3 can be viewed as an isolobal metallo analogue to diferrocenylamide (Fc)(FcNH)C=O (4) and diferrocenylthioamide (Fc)(FcNH)C=S (5). The impact of the formal replacement of O/S by Cr(CO)5 in 3 is studied with respect to steric and electronic consequences as well as reactivity by spectroscopic, diffraction, electrochemical and theoretical methods.

The anthropological premise to the pedagogical treatment of fairy tales contribution to the formation of sexual and gender identity in girls and boys is the origin of sexual dimorphism that, being present in all cultures, cannot only be the result of socio-cultural conditioning. Considering the mutual cooperation between men and women and the wider family and social harmony, contemporary fairy tales and the appropriate reinterpretations of classic fairy tales have great educational potential for sexual identity development and for overcoming social stereotypes related to sex in girls and boys.

Starting with the COVID-19 pandemic, research intensively investigated the effects of school lockdowns on involved stakeholders, such as teachers, students and parents. However, as research projects had to be hurriedly conducted, in-depth and longitudinal studies are lacking. Macroeconomic performance and convergence in OECD countries

Abstract This paper investigates the robustness of the correlation between growth and a set of variables which comprises accumulation rates in human and physical capital and medium term macroeconomic indicators in OECD countries. We include these variables as additional regressors in the standard growth equation that comes from the human capital-augmented Solow model. Our results show that variables related to medium term macroeconomic performance affect both growth and convergence. In some periods these variables even outperform the explanatory power of the conventional growth variables such as the accumulation rates.
