Les permanents syndicaux

2021

XMM-Newton survey of the ELAIS-S1 field

2008

The formation and evolution of cosmic structures can be probed by studying the evolution of the luminosity function of the Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs), galaxies and clusters of galaxies and of the clustering of the X-ray active Universe, compared to the IR-UV active Universe. To this purpose, we have surveyed with XMM-Newton the central ~0.6{deg}^2^ region of the ELAIS-S1 field down to flux limits of ~5.5x10^-16^erg/cm^2^/s (0.5-2keV, soft band, S), ~2x10^-15^erg/cm^2^/s (2-10keV, hard band, H), and ~4x10^-15^erg/cm^2^/s (5-10keV, ultra hard band, HH). We present here the analysis of the XMM-Newton observations, the number counts in different energy bands and the clustering properties of …

Capacity assessment for provision of quality sexual reproductive health and HIV-integrated services in Karamoja, Uganda

2020

Introduction: Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) are crucial global health issues. Uganda continues to sustain a huge burden of HIV and AIDS.
Methods: A cross-sectional health facility-based assessment was performed in November and December 2016 in Karamoja Region, northern Uganda. All the 126 health facilities (HFs) in Karamoja, including 5 hospitals and 121 Health Centers (HCs), covering 51 sub-counties of the 7 districts were assessed. We assessed the capacity of a) leadership and governance, b) human resource, c) service delivery, d) SRH and HIV service integration and e) users satisfaction and perceptions.

Experiences with the use of complementary and alternative medicine in nursing homes: A focus group study.

2016

Abstract Introduction The use of complementary and alternative medicine is increasing outside the Norwegian public health service. The purpose of this study was to gain insight into the experiences of nurses and auxiliary nurses with the use of CAM in care for nursing home residents. Method Focus group interviews with a total of thirteen nurses and auxiliary nurses from three nursing homes were conducted. Data were analyzed using systematic text condensation. Results Participants had experiences from aromatherapy, plant medicine, music therapy and pet therapy. They experienced the use of CAM as effective, exciting and rewarding, but also challenging and dependent on supportive leaders. CAM …

Parents and their children's school lives--commentary on the special issue, 'Parents' role in children's school lives'.

2014

Although it is teachers who play the key role in supporting children’s learning and theiracademicdevelopmentatschool, parentstoocanbeinvolvedintheirchildren’sacademiclives in many different ways. As the vast majority of parents consider academicachievement and adjustment to be important for their children’s future, parents oftenmake an effort to support their children’s learning, such as helping them with theirhomework. Many kinds of parental involvement have been described in the literature, although not all of them have been shown to be effective in promoting children’sacademic development (Chen & Stevenson, 1989; Cooper, Lindsay, & Nye, 2000; Fan CLevinet al.,1997;Patall,Cooper,RPomerantz,…

Cardiorespiratory Fitness Is Associated With Drop Out From Sport in Norwegian Adolescents. A Longitudinal Study

2020

Several studies indicate that participation in organized sport may result in higher physical activity levels among youth which are associated with high levels of cardiorespiratory fitness. However, no study has examined whether cardiorespiratory fitness (VO2peak) is associated with drop out from sport. The study was a 5-year longitudinal study which followed a sample of adolescents, with measures of cardiorespiratory fitness, weight and height between the age of 14 and 19 yrs. Self-reported data about participation in sport, active commuting and physical activity level were also included. Through logistic regression analyses we found a positive association between cardiorespiratory fitness …

The Effects of Bug-in-the-Eye Supervision on Therapeutic Alliance and Therapist Competence in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy: A Randomized Controlled …

2015

Live supervision enables a supervisor to have direct insight into the psychotherapeutic process and allows him or her to provide immediate feedback to the trainee. Therefore, live supervision might be superior to traditional supervisory formats that only allow for the provision of delayed feedback. When considering the different live supervision formats, bug-in-the-eye (BITE) supervision is particularly promising because of its improved and less invasive procedure. The current study compared the efficacy of BITE supervision with that of delayed video-based (DVB) supervision. In the present study, 23 therapists were randomly assigned to either the BITE supervision or DVB supervision groups. …

Competence feedback improves CBT competence in trainee therapists: A randomized controlled pilot study.

2016

The development and improvement of therapeutic competencies are central aims in psychotherapy training; however, little is known about which training interventions are suitable for the improvement of competencies. In the current pilot study, the efficacy of feedback regarding therapeutic competencies was investigated in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Totally 19 trainee therapists and 19 patients were allocated randomly to a competence feedback group (CFG) or control group (CG). Two experienced clinicians and feedback providers who were blind to the treatment conditions independently evaluated therapeutic competencies on the Cognitive Therapy Scale at five treatment times (i.e., at Sess…
