Mafia-type organisations often have a strong geographical and cultural entrenchment in the territory they belong. However, their analysis as a spatially networked social structure is still missing. A combined socio-spatial network analysis is presented here, through the demise of a large police operation called Operazione Perseo in 2008. This approach is developed in two ways. Urban growth generates nowadays patterns, which look rather irregular. Planning policy regrets the lack of compactness and density of these agglomerations, but controlling urban sprawl turns out to be difficult. Oporto is the second largest Portuguese city and the engine of the metropolitan system of the northern region of the country. International audience; This paper presents the integration process of spatial technologies and Semantic Web technologies and its associated tool. The result of this work is a spatial query and rule engine of spatial. To do so, existing ontology with spatial elements is adjusted in order to process the spatial knowledge through spatial technologies. This paper outlines the methods and the processes of these adjustments and how results are returned by our tool. The SWRL and the SPARQL language are extended for spatial purpose and the existing OWL ontology wine is used as an application example.
