An Impulse Response Model for the 60 Ghz Channel Based on Spectral Techniques of alpha-stable Processes

International audience; In order to make realistic simulations of the radio propagation mechanism in ultra-wide band channels, an appropriate model is needed. In this paper we propose a new technique to model the impulse response of the 60 Ghz channel. This new approach is based on the spectral analysis of alpha-stable processes. Our new model presents many advantages: firstly, the channel is characterized only by a one deterministic function (spectral density) in the place of four parameters. Secondly, the estimations procedure deals directly with the measured transfer functions which avoids loosing information in data pretreatment. In this work a new spectral representation of a symmetric alpha-stable processes is introduced. It is based on a covariation pseudo-additivity and Morse-Transue's integral with respect to a bimesure built by using pseudo-additivity property. Introduction and objectives. The analysis of frequency variability during ventricular fibrillation has yielded inconsistent results. We used an experimental model of ventricular fibrillation, with a short timescale, to analyze variations in frequency and their associated spatial distribution. Methods. Epicardial recordings of ventricular fibrillation were made in 10 perfused isolated rabbit heart preparations using a multiple electrode system (i.e., 240 unipolar electrodes). The aim of this study was to examine the hypothesis that the recording mode (ie, unipolar or bipolar) affects the information obtained using spectral analysis techniques during ventricular fibrillation by carrying out an experiment using epicardial electrodes. Conjugation reactions of polyaromatic quinones to mono- and bisglutathionyl adducts: Direct analysis by fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry

The conjugation products of several reactive quinones with glutathione have been identified by fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry. Appropriate conditions have been developed which enabled the direct, dynamic mass spectral analysis of spontaneous, as well as glutathione transferase catalysed conjugation reactions. Applications to a series of quinones provided the direct detection and differentiation of the formation of mono- and bisglutathionyl adducts between regioisomeric quinone substrates in that only 1,4-quinones yielded bisglutathionyl adducts, which were not observed for the 1,2-isomers.

Detailed NMR spectral analysis of CDCl3 solutions of 2-(R-phenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinazolines reveals three or four tautomeric forms. Apart from 2-[(benzylideneamino)methyl]aniline, the other chain tautomeric forms are present only in minor quantities. In general, electron-donating substituents increase the contribution of all chain forms. Lowering the temperature of the CDCl3 solution of 2-(R-phenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinazolines decreases the content of the 2-[(benzylideneamino)methyl]aniline form. At the same time, the amount of the ring form increases. Opening of the tetrahydropyrimidine ring in 2-(R-phenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinazolines was found to be an endothermic process espec…
