Multicenter Consistency Assessment of Valvular Flow Quantification With Automated Valve Tracking in 4D Flow CMR

OBJECTIVES This study determined: 1) the interobserver agreement; 2) valvular flow variation; and 3) which variables independently predicted the variation of valvular flow quantification from 4-dimensional (4D) flow cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) with automated retrospective valve tracking at multiple sites. Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most frequent neurodegenerative disease. It is characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra and the formation of large aggregates in the survival neurons called Lewy bodies, which mainly contain α-synuclein (α-syn). The cause of cell death is not known but could be due to mitochondrial dysfunction, protein homeostasis failure, and alterations in the secretory/endolysosomal/autophagic pathways. Retinal Vibrations in Bacteriorhodopsin are Mechanically Harmonic but Electrically Anharmonic: Evidence From Overtone and Combination Bands

Fundamental vibrations of the chromophore in the membrane protein bacteriorhodopsin (BR), a protonated Schiff base retinal, have been studied for decades, both by resonance Raman and by infrared (IR) difference spectroscopy. Such studies started comparing vibrational changes between the initial BR state (all-trans retinal) and the K intermediate (13-cis retinal), being later extended to the rest of intermediates. They contributed to our understanding of the proton-pumping mechanism of BR by exploiting the sensitivity of fundamental vibrational transitions of the retinal to its conformation. Doping induced stable room temperature dual emission from gadolinium doped vacancy ordered double halide perovskite, Gd:Cs2SnCl6

The recent advancement in bandgap engineering through controlled doping has widen the prospectof vacancy ordered double halide perovskites (VO DHPs) by conferring them with designableoptoelectronic properties. Here, we report synthesis of Gd doped Cs2SnCl6 via a simplesolvothermal method. Gd3+ ions doping lowers the band gap from 3.8 eV to 2.8 eV and facilitatesstable room temperature dual PL emission centered at 440 nm and 610 nm. Ferromagnetic ordering in GdPdCd

Abstract GdPdCd was obtained in pure form via reaction of the elements in a sealed tantalum tube in a high-frequency furnace. The structure was investigated by X-ray diffraction on both powders and single crystals: ZrNiAl type, P 6 2m , a=758.2(1), c=391.78(7) pm, wR2=0.0410 for 358 F2 values and 14 variables. Striking structural motifs of GdPdCd are two types of palladium-centered tricapped trigonal prisms [Pd1Cd3Gd6] and [Pd2Cd6Gd3]. Together the palladium and cadmium atoms build a three-dimensional network in which the gadolinium atoms fill distorted pentagonal channels. Plant biostimulants are formulations that are experiencing great success from the perspective of sustainable agriculture. In this work, we evaluated the effect derived from the application of a biostimulant based on algae and yeast extracts (Expando®) on the agronomic yield and nutraceutical profile of two different cultivars (“Sugar Time” and “West Rose”) of Prunus persica (peach). New polymeric materials [M(dcno)2(H2O)2] [M = FeII (1), CoII (2)] and [M(dcno)2] [M = CuII (3), MnII (4)] with dcno– =[(NC)2CC(O)O(CH2)2OH]– = 2,2-dicyano-1-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethenolate anion have been synthesised and characterised by IR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography and magnetic measurements. Two polytopic aza-scorpiand-like ligands, 6-[7-(diaminoethyl)-3,7-diazaheptyl]-3,6,9-triaza-1-(2,6-pyridina)cyclodecaphane (L1) and 6-[6′-[3,6,9-triaza-1-(2,6-pyridina)cyclodecaphan-6-yl]-3-azahexyl]-3,6,9-triaza-1-(2,6-pyridina)cyclodecaphane (L2), have been synthesized. The acid–base behavior and Cu2+, Zn2+, and Cu2+/Zn2+ mixed coordination have been analyzed by potentiometry, cyclic voltammetry, and UV–vis spectroscopy. The resolution of the crystal structures of [Cu2L2Cl2](ClO4)2·1.67H2O (1), [Cu2HL2Br2](ClO4)3·1.5H2O (2), and [CuZnL2Cl2](ClO4)2·1.64H2O (3) shows, in agreement with the solution data, the formation of homobinuclear Cu2+/Cu2+ and heterobinuclear Cu2+/Zn2+ complexes. Secondary metabolites of the lichen-associated fungus Apiospora montagnei

Abstract The endolichenic fungus Apiospora montagnei isolated from the lichen Cladonia sp. was cultured on solid rice medium, yielding the new diterpenoid libertellenone L (1), the new pyridine alkaloid, 23-O-acetyl-N-hydroxyapiosporamide (2) and the new xanthone derivative 8-hydroxy-3-hydroxymethyl-9-oxo-9H-xanthene-1-carboxylic acid methyl ether (3) together with 19 known compounds (4–22). The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR spectra as well as by HRESIMS data.
