Zur protonenkatalysierten elektrophilen substitution von 2,3-dimethylindol mit arylaldehyden: C6-regioselektivität am indol-gerüst

1986

The proton catalyzed reaction of 2,3-dimethylindole (1) with several arylaldehydes 2 yields the 6,6′bisindolylarylmethanes 5 regioselectively. No mechanistic information about the predominant attack of the aldehydes on the indole nucleus is obtained, because the reaction proceeds too fast to control. The electron-rich aldehydes, 2,4,6-trimethoxybenzaldehyde and indole-3-carbaldehyde, yield exclusively the 6,6′,6″-trisin-dolylmethane 9. The constitutions of all isolated methanes were elucidated by 400 MHz 1H-nmr spectroscopy.

Data for Ca2(HSeO3)2(Se2O5): a = 14.719(4), b = 7.059(2), c = 11.793(2) A, β = 117.96(2)°, V = 1082.3(4) A3, space group C2 c (No. 15), dcalcd = 3.52 Mg m−3, Z = 4, and R = 0.047 for 1251 reflections. Both structures form a three-dimensional network. The coordination polyhedron around calcium is a monocapped trigon…

Oxalate‐Based 3D Chiral Magnets: The Series [Z II (bpy) 3 ][ClO 4 ][M II Fe III (ox) 3 ] (Z II = Fe, Ru; M II = Mn, Fe; bpy = 2,2'‐Bipyridine; ox = O…

2005

The synthesis, structure, and physical properties of the oxalate-based molecular magnets with the formula [ZII(bpy)3][ClO4][MIIFeIII(ox)3] (ZII = Fe, Ru; MII = Mn, Fe; bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine; ox = oxalate dianion) are presented here. All compounds are isostructural and crystallize in the chiral cubic space group P4132, and contain three-dimensional dimetallic networks formed by alternating MII and MIII ions that are connected by oxalate anions. These compounds exhibit strong antiferromagnetic interactions that give rise to magnetic ordering as ferrimagnets or weak ferromagnets, with critical temperatures of up to 20 K, which is twice as high as those found for the isostructural magnets based…

A Study by Spectroelectrochemical FTIR and Density Functional Theory Calculations of the Reversible Complexing Ability of an Electroactive Tetrathiaf…

2006

We report on the study of the electrochemically targeted complexation/expulsion of a metal cation (Ba2+) by a crown ether tetra(thiomethyl)tetrathiafulvalene derivative (crown-TTM-TTF). Real time, in situ FTIR spectroelectrochemistry was used to obtain spectroscopic evidence of this electrochemically triggered phenomenon. Density functional theory calculations allowed the spectral information collected to be assigned. Both experimental and theoretical results clearly show that neutral crown-TTM-TTF complexes well Ba2+. Complexation is evidenced by a significant downshift of the frequency corresponding to the asymmetric stretching of the C-O-C ether groups. Concerning the cation crown-TTM-TT…

Decoupling of Dynamic Processes in Surfactant-Based Liquid Mixtures: The Case of Lithium-Containing Bis(2- ethylhexyl)phosphoric Acid/Bis(2-ethylhexy…

2014

Pure surfactant liquids and their binary mixtures, because of the amphiphilic nature of the molecules involved, can exhibit nanosegregation and peculiar transport properties. The idea that inspired this work is that the possibility of including in such media salts currently used for technological applications should lead to a synergy between the properties of the salt and those of the medium. Therefore, the dynamic features of bis(2-ethylhexyl)amine (BEEA) and bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (HDEHP) liquid mixtures were investigated as a function of composition and temperature by (1)H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and rheometry. Inclusion of litium trifluoromethanesulfonate…

Spin transition in three-dimensional bridged coordination polymers of iron(II)–urea-triazoles

2008

Abstract Three-dimensional spin-crossover (SCO) networks of [Fe 2 ( n -Rdubtrz) 3 ](X) 4  ·  n H 2 O ( n -R = (CH 2 ) y , y  = 4, 6, 8, 12; du = diurea; btrz = bis-triazole; X = BF 4 - , ClO 4 - , triflate, tosylate) coordination polymers are prepared by reaction of bridging aliphatic bis-urea triazoles ( n -Rdubtrz) with the iron-salts (FeX 2 ). Investigations of the properties are supported by studies of one-dimensional compounds of [Fe(Rtrzu) 3 ](X) 2 (R =  n -propyl, t -butyl; trzu = urea triazole). Characterization of the complexes is carried out with IR-spectroscopy, elemental analysis, TGA and atomic absorption spectroscopy. SCO-behaviour of all complexes is inspected by magnetic sus…

Stability of negatively charged platelets in calcium-rich anionic copolymer solutions.

2014

Controlling the stability of anisotropic particles is key to the development of advanced materials. Here, we report an investigation, by means of mesoscale molecular dynamics simulations, of the stability and structural change of calcium-rich dispersions containing negatively charged nanoplatelets, neutralized by calcium counterions, in the presence of either comb copolymers composed of anionic backbones with attached neutral side chains or anionic-neutral linear block copolymers. In agreement with experimental observations, small stacks of platelets (tactoids) are formed, which are greatly stabilized in the presence of copolymers. In the absence of polymers, tactoids will grow and aggregat…

Experimental and theoretical investigations of the redox behavior of the heterodichalcogenido ligands [(EP(i)Pr2)(TeP(i)Pr2)N](-) (E = S, Se): cyclic…

2008

The two-electron oxidation of the lithium salts of the heterodichalcogenidoimidodiphosphinate anions [(EP (i)Pr 2)(TeP (i)Pr 2)N] (-) ( 1a, E = S; 1b, E = Se) with iodine yields cyclic cations [(EP (i)Pr 2)(TeP (i)Pr 2)N] (+) as their iodide salts [(SP (i)Pr 2)(TeP (i)Pr 2)N]I ( 2a) and [(SeP (i)Pr 2)(TeP (i)Pr 2)N]I ( 2b). The five-membered rings in 2a and 2b both display an elongated E-Te bond as a consequence of an interaction between tellurium and the iodide anion. One-electron reduction of 2a and 2b with cobaltocene produces the neutral dimers (EP (i)Pr 2NP (i)Pr 2Te-) 2 ( 3a, E = S; 3b, E = Se), which are connected exclusively through a Te-Te bond. Two-electron reduction of 2a and 2b …

Distribution and mobility of phosphates and sodium ions in cheese by solid-state 31 P and double-quantum filtered 23 Na NMR spectroscopy

2010

The feasibility of solid-state magic angle spinning (MAS) (31)P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and (23)Na NMR spectroscopy to investigate both phosphates and Na(+) ions distribution in semi-hard cheeses in a non-destructive way was studied. Two semi-hard cheeses of known composition were made with two different salt contents. (31)P Single-pulse excitation and cross-polarization MAS experiments allowed, for the first time, the identification and quantification of soluble and insoluble phosphates in the cheeses. The presence of a relatively 'mobile' fraction of colloidal phosphates was evidenced. The detection by (23)Na single-quantum NMR experiments of all the sodium ions in t…
