Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää huippu-urheilijoiden henkilökohtaisia kokemuksia siitä, mitkä motivaatiotekijät ovat edesauttaneet heidän uransa jatkumista urheilijapolun eri vaiheissa. Tavoitteena oli saada yksityiskohtaista informaatiota urheilijoiden kokemuksista ja näkemyksistä heidän urheiluaan tukevista asioista. Selvitimme tutkimuksen avulla myös urheilijoiden subjektiivisten näkemysten yhteyttä tunnettuihin motivaatioteorioihin ja aikaisemmissa tutkimuksissa esiin nousseisiin tuloksiin ja havaintoihin. Tutkimuksen lähtökohtana oli Zoltán Dörnyein uusi motivaatioteoria, joka koostuu oppijoiden tulevaisuuden minäkuvista sekä aiemmista kokemuksista kohdekieleen liittyen. Kyseistä teoriaa ei ole vielä laajalti käytetty tutkimuksessa, ja suomalaiset kieltenoppijat ovat vielä varsin uusi kohderyhmä kyseiselle teorialle. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää nuorten urheilijoiden suhtautumista englantiin ja sen tärkeyteen. The imposition of COVID-19 lockdown restricted the daily activities of many people, including athletes. This study investigated the training practices of athletes in the Philippines during the first COVID-19 lockdown. A total of 442 athletes answered an online survey (May-July 2020), with questions pertaining to training practices, such as training frequency and duration. Data were analyzed according to: athlete classification (world-class, international, national, state, or recreational), sport category (individual or team), and sex (male or female). Abstract Introduction One of the most frequent complications after a total hip arthroplasty (THA) is bleeding, intravenous tranexamic acid (TXA) is used to reduce it. We considered it necessary to carry out a study to clarify which administration route is superior.
