Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is one of the main current threats to human health. Both T2D and its numerous clinical complications are related to mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress. Bakgrunn: Forskning viser at pasienter i generell anestesi som har fått sine luftveier sikret med en larynxmaske eller en endotrakealtube opplever postoperative pharyngolaryngeale komplikasjoner. Et kontrollert cufftrykk har vist reduksjon i komplikasjoner.
 Hensikt: Hensikten med studien var å undersøke hvilke metoder anestesisykepleiere bruker for å kontrollere cufftrykk, og hvilke begrunnelser de har for å bruke cufftrykkmanometer.
 Metode: Totalt 45 anestesisykepleiere ble observert når de kontrollerte cufftrykket i en endotrakealtube og en larynxmaske. Anestesisykepleierne ble i tillegg spurt om hvilke begrunnelser de hadde for å bruke eller ikke bruke cufftrykkmanometer.�…

Abstract The preparation of a new bis(pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine (1-bpp) derivative functionalized with a carboxylic acid in the 3-pyridyl position, bpp3-COOH ligand is reported together with the structure and spin-crossover (SCO) properties of [FeII(bpp3-COOH)2](ClO4)2·0.5EtOH·0.5H2O (1). Magnetic properties of 1 indicate that LS is favored. Desolvation leads to a gradual and incomplete SCO. Solvated and desolvated compounds show LIESST effect.

The role of hormone crosstalk in plant immunity is lately emerging as significant topic of plant physiology. Although crosstalk between salicylic acid and auxin affects plant disease resistance, molecular mechanisms of this process have not yet been uncovered in details. Mutations disrupting cyclic nucleotide-gated ion channel 4 (CNGC4) affect SA-mediated disease resistance in barley Hordeum vulgare and in A. thaliana. Significantly, decreased stomatal apertures of barley CNGC4 mutant nec1 and dwarfed stature of A. thaliana CNGC4 mutant dnd2 suggest that nonfunctional CNGC4 might be affecting also auxin signaling.
