mRNA homoeostasis is favoured by crosstalk between transcription and degradation machineries. Both the Ccr4-Not and the Xrn1-decaysome complexes have been described to influence transcription. While Ccr4-Not has been shown to directly stimulate transcription elongation, the information available on how Xrn1 influences transcription is scarce and contradictory. In this study we have addressed this issue by mapping RNA polymerase II (RNA pol II) at high resolution, using CRAC and BioGRO-seq techniques in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Observation of the decay KS→π+π−e+e−

Abstract We present the first observation of the decay KS→π+π−e+e− based upon the data collected in 1998 by the NA48 experiment at CERN. We have identified a clean sample of 56 events with negligible background contamination. Using KL→π+π−π0D decays as normalization sample, the branching ratio is measured to be BR(KS→π+π−e+e−)=[4.5±0.7(stat)±0.4(syst)]×10−5. This result is in good agreement with the theoretical expectations from the mechanism of inner bremsstrahlung.

Sekojošs darbs tika veltīts krievu emigrācijas autores Irinas Odojevcevas īsprozas darbu analīzei. Tajā tika izskatīti un rūpīgi analizēti trīs autora darbi, respektīvi «Праздник», «У моря», «Сердце Марии». Darba procesā tika izmantoti vairāku nozares speciālā literatūra, lai sniegtu plašāku jautājuma pārskatu. Tika identificētie svarīgākie, uz noteikto laiku, vadmotīvi autores daiļradē. Tika aprakstīta un paskaidrota tā perioda krievu emigrācijas darbinieku psiholoģija, domāšana, viņiem kopīgas tēmas.
