Self-interacting dark matter and cosmology of a light scalar mediator

We consider a fermionic dark matter candidate interacting via a scalar mediator coupled with the Standard Model through a Higgs portal. We consider general setting including both scalar and pseudoscalar interactions between the scalar and fermion, and illustrate the relevant features for dark matter abundance, direct search limits and collider constraints. The case where dark matter has a self-interaction strength $\left\langle \sigma_V \right\rangle/m_\psi \sim 0.1-1 \,\mathrm{cm}^2/\mathrm{g}$ is strongly constrained, in particular by the Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. In this thesis, we discuss ideas of how to go beyond the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics to incorporate the cosmological observations of dark matter and matter–antimatter asymmetry, and to address the theoretical problems related to the scalar sector of the SM. Although the SM has proven to be an excellent description of the interactions of elementary particles, there is both experimental and theoretical evidence that this description cannot be complete. Most notably, the cosmological observations of dark matter (DM) and the matter–antimatter asymmetry in the universe cannot be explained within the SM. The Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) will be a powerful tool for a variety of physics topics. The high-intensity proton beams provide a large neutrino flux, sampled by a near detector system consisting of a combination of capable precision detectors, and by the massive far detector system located deep underground. This configuration sets up DUNE as a machine for discovery, as it enables opportunities not only to perform precision neutrino measurements that may uncover deviations from the present three-flavor mixing paradigm, but also to discover new particles and unveil new interactions and symmetries beyond those predicted in the Standard Model (SM). Dark matter and baryogenesis in Higgs portal models

This work focuses on two of the main issues in current understanding of particle physics described by the Standard Model. The Standard Model, despite of its success, is not complete. Existence of dark matter has been clearly verified, but its nature is unknown. Also, the baryon asymmetry in the Universe hints that the Standard Model has to be extended. In this thesis we study Higgs portal models which both contain dark matter candidates, and can provide for a successful production of the baryon asymmetry.

Zaś przesłanką mniejszą wybrane homilie i kazania, które ukazały się drukiem i te, które są głoszone. Zestawienie przesłanki większej i mniejszej, a więc teorii i praktyki, pozwala na sformułowanie postulatów odnośnie przepowiadania do dzieci w Polsce. Zaproponowano 10 postulatów. This paper aims the analysis of the living conditions of a sample of household, residing at a quarter of Palermo’s historic city centre so that it is an effective instrument for politicians to improve the quality of life of the residents. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań gospodarstw domowych w Polsce dotyczących wybranych uwarunkowań samooceny ich sytuacji materialnej. W szczególności uwzględniono wprowadzone w kwietniu 2016 roku świadczenie wychowawcze w ramach programu Rodzina 500+. W tym celu przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą relacji między samooceną a dochodami, wydatkami konsumpcyjnymi i wybranymi charakterystykami gospodarstw zaliczanych do grupy wychowujących dzieci. Analiza wykazała, że istnieje silna zależność oceny własnej sytuacji ekonomicznej gospodarstw zarówno od uzyskiwanych dochodów, jak i wydatków konsumpcyjnych. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań gospodarstw domowych w Polsce dotyczących wybranych uwarunkowań samooceny ich sytuacji materialnej. W tym celu przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą relacji między samooceną a dochodami, wydatkami konsumpcyjnymi i wybranymi charakterystykami gospodarstw zaliczanych do poszczególnych grup społeczno-ekonomicznych. Analiza ekonometryczna wykazała, że istnieje silna zależność oceny własnej sytuacji ekonomicznej gospodarstw zarówno od uzyskiwanych dochodów, jak i wydatków konsumpcyjnych.
