The study shows that there is a connection between machiavellism and the way of solving problem tasks in the situation when selected emotions are inducted. The results also show that people with a high level of machiavellism are characterized by stop self-control (DeBoer, B., Van Hooft, E., Bakker, A., 2011) and that induction of emotions among these people doesn’t have the same connection with the way of solving problem tasks as among people with low level of machiavellism. Additionally, the results show that people with high level of machiavellism don’t trust other people and are competitive.

Objectives To analyse the applicability of the STOPP/START criteria as a tool to identify patients with potentially inappropriate medications (PIM) during pharmaceutical validation of prescriptions in a long-term care hospital, to identify risk factors for PIM and to characterise the physiological systems and drugs more frequently associated with these PIM. Min-Type Control Strategy of a DC-DC Synchronous Boost Converter

International audience; This paper presents the analysis and design of a min-type strategy to control a synchronous boost converter in continuous conduction mode. The strategy uses a nonlinear switching surface to establish the change of topology in the converter and is analyzed by means of a sliding-mode control approach. Development of an ad hoc natural whey starter culture for the production of Vastedda della valle del Belìce cheese

This work was aimed to characterize the autochthonous lactic acid bacteria (LAB) of PDO Vastedda della valle del Belìce cheeses, produced in several dairy factories, for the development of an ad hoc starter culture preparation for the production of this cheese. To this purpose, winter and spring productions were analysed, in order to isolate LAB adapted to perform the fermentation at low temperatures. Plate counts showed the total microbial counts (TMC) till levels of 9 -1almost 10 CFU g and all cheese samples were dominated by coccus LAB. Pro Gradu -tutkielman tavoitteena oli tutkia Real Option Analysis -metodin sopivuutta start-up yhtiön investoinnin arvonmääritykseen. Jotta tutkimuskysymykseen saatiin vastaus, tuli myös case-yhtiön liiketoimintasuunnitelma selvittää ja edelleen mitkä ovat liiketoiminnan potentiaaliset rahavirrat, joihin arvonmääritys perustuu.
