Electrical conductivity as a state indicator for the start-up period of anaerobic fixed-bed reactors.

The aim of this work was to analyse the applicability of electrical conductivity sensors for on-line monitoring the start-up period of an anaerobic fixed-bed reactor. The evolution of bicarbonate concentration and methane production rate was analysed. Strong linear relationships between electrical conductivity and both bicarbonate concentration and methane production rate were observed. On-line estimations of the studied parameters were carried out in a new start-up period by applying simple linear regression models, which resulted in a good concordance between both observed and predicted values. Summary - In cheese, flavour and taste are, in great part, generated by the starters during the ripening stage. Proteolysis and lipolysis are the first steps of the elaboration of a large number of taste and odour compounds directly invol ved in the sensory quality of cheeses. The pathways used by the microorganisms to produce flavour compounds are still unclear in many cases. International audience; En 2004, Alain Testart (1945-2013) a l’audace de donner à un ouvrage d’anthropologie un titre hérité de l’essai de La Boétie sur l’assujettissement, les dépendances et les despotismes, vieux de plus de quatre siècles. Les deux tomes de cette nouvelle "Servitude volontaire" ont pour objet d’élaborer une théorie de la genèse du pouvoir et de l’origine de l’État. Il a souligné combien les fidélités personnelles sont décisives dans l’étude des sociétés anciennes, et qu’elles se sont ainsi révélées comme étant au fondement du développement des inégalités et, probablement, à l’émergence de L’État.

National audience; Trois ethnologues ont profondément modifié notre vision de l’art paléolithique : Annette Laming-Emperaire, André Leroi-Gourhan et Alain Testart. Ils ont chacun démontré que la décoration des cavernes n’était pas due au hasard et relevait d’une organisation symbolique, suivant un schéma et un programme, adapté ensuite à la topographie de chaque grotte. Alain Testart est allé le plus loin, en formulant vingt propositions, qui fonctionnent comme autant d’opérateurs de pensée.

International audience; Porteur d’un savoir général sur les sociétés, l'anthropologue Alain Testart a jeté de nombreuses passerelles entre l’anthropologie, l’archéologie et l’histoire. Ce n’est pas la première fois, qu’un anthropologue, familiarisé auxproblématiques archéologiques, à ses matériaux, à ses techniques et ses propres critères de validation, s’invite dans le débat archéologique, mais il semble, comme le rapporte l’archéologue néolithicien Jean Guilaine, que c’est lui « quia probablement le plus apporté à la réflexion de ses collègues archéologues dès lors que ceux-ci ont tenté de “penser” les sociétés anciennes ».

This paper presents the principles, method and main results of the Observatory of the Socio-Ecological Transition in Franche-Comté (OTSE-fc). The latter is currently used as a reference for the development of the Drâa observatory of the Province of Ouarzazate as part of the CNRS-CNRST scientific cooperation project 2015-2016. At the request of the participants of the workshop, we also summarized the progress of the territorial diagnosis of the Province of Ouarzazate, which constitutes the basis of the Drââ Observatory. OATS AND FAT-FREE MILK BASED FUNCTIONAL FOOD PRODUCT

The present study addresses problems and solutions related to new functional bio-active food product creation. Commercial rolled oats and fat-free milk were used as raw materials. Limited enzymatic hydrolysis of oat starch was carried out by α-amylase. The lactic acid bacteria strains Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium sp., and commercial starter cultures ABT-1 were cultivated in enzymatically hydrolysed oat mash. Lactobacillus acidophilus was a more active producer of lactic acid, while Bifidobacterium sp. improved the taste properties.
