Prioritization of Alternatives with AHP Plus Response Latency and Web Surveys

Purpose: Overcome some drawbacks of the widely applied Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) related to the use of a rating scale for respondent’s judgments and propose a new method to prioritize alternatives based on web surveys. Methodology/Approach: We use the response latency, i.e. the time taken to make a decision, to replace the rating scale in the pairwise comparisons which is a fundamental part of the AHP procedure. A method combining the AHP with a mathematical model for the response latency is proposed in the paper. The current methods for identifying important attributes and prioritize them suffer from theoretical and practical limitations. The roles of job and worker restructuring in aggregate wage growth dynamics

We propose an approach for measuring and analyzing the dynamics of the standard aggregate wage growth of macro statistics with micro data. Our method decomposes the aggregate wage growth into the wage growth of job stayers and into various terms related to job and worker restructuring. This method produces explicit expressions with clear interpretations for the various restructuring components. Using comprehensive longitudinal employer–employee data, we study how job and worker restructuring influence the aggregate wage growth and its cyclicality. The objective of this paper is to report on the activities carried out during the first year of the Italian project “Use of COSMO-SkyMed data for LANDcover classification and surface parameters retrieval over agricultural sites” (COSMOLAND), funded by the Italian Space Agency. The project intends to contribute to the COSMO-SkyMed mission objectives in the agriculture and hydrology application domains.
