Code Contracts ja ComTest-yksikkötestausgenerointi .NET-kielissä

2015

Tällaiset ehdot voidaan automaattisesti kirjoittaa osaksi koodin kommentteja. Code Contracts on laajennos .NET-kieliin, jonka avulla sopimuspohjainen suunnittelu saadaan osaksi sovelluskehitystä. Tutkimuksessa selvitetään, miten ComTest ja Code Contracts liittyvät toisiinsa. ComTest, a tool mainly directed to make teaching more efficient, is able to create Unit Tests based on directions written in the code comments. In…

Motivations, engagement and adoption of e-WOM in restaurants.

2022

Phase Relations, Reaction Sequences and Petrochronology

2017

At the core of petrochronology is the relationship between geochronology and the petrological evolution of major mineral assemblages. The focus of this chapter is on outlining some of the available strategies to link inferred reaction sequences and microstructures in metamorphic rocks to the ages obtained from geochronology of accessory minerals and datable major minerals. Reaction sequences and mineral assemblages in metamorphic rocks are primarily a function of pressure ( P ), temperature ( T ) and bulk composition ( X ). Several of the major rock-forming minerals are particularly sensitive to changes in P–T (e.g., garnet, staurolite, biotite, plagioclase), but their direct geochronology …

Quantifying geological uncertainty in metamorphic phase equilibria modelling; a Monte Carlo assessment and implications for tectonic interpretations

2016

AbstractPseudosection modelling is rapidly becoming an essential part of a petrologist's toolkit and often forms the basis of interpreting the tectonothermal evolution of a rock sample, outcrop, or geological region. Of the several factors that can affect the accuracy and precision of such calculated phase diagrams, “geological” uncertainty related to natural petrographic variation at the hand sample- and/or thin section-scale is rarely considered. Such uncertainty influences the sample's bulk composition, which is the primary control on its equilibrium phase relationships and thus the interpreted pressure–temperature (P–T) conditions of formation. Two case study examples—a garnet–cordierit…

Ongoing Evolution in the Genus Crocus: Diversity of Flowering Strategies on the Way to Hysteranthy

2021

[EN] Species of the genus Crocus are found over a wide range of climatic areas. In natural habitats, these geophytes diverge in the flowering strategies. This variability was assessed by analyzing the flowering traits of the Spanish collection of wild crocuses, preserved in the Bank of Plant Germplasm of Cuenca. Plants of the seven Spanish species were analyzed both in their natural environments (58 native populations) and in common garden experiments (112 accessions). Differences among species observed in the native habitats were maintained under uniform environmental conditions, suggesting a genetic basis for flowering mechanisms. Two eco-morphological types, autumn- and spring-flowering …

Activation of MAPK homologues by elicitors in tobacco cells

1998

Elicitors of plant defence reactions (such as cryptogein, an elicitin produced by Phytophthora cryptogea, or oligogalacturonides (OGs)), induced in tobacco cell suspensions (Nicotiana tabacum var Xanthi) a rapid and transient activation of two protein kinases (PKs) with apparent molecular masses of 50 and 46 kDa, respectively. These PKs activated and phosphorylated at tyrosine residues, phosphorylated myelin basic protein (MBP) at serine/threonine residues. Both are recognized by anti-MAPK antibodies. The two MBP kinases possessed the same kinetics of activation, and their activation depended, to the same extent, on different exogenously applied compounds (staurosporine, lanthanum, EGTA). W…

Involvement of Free Calcium in Action of Cryptogein, a Proteinaceous Elicitor of Hypersensitive Reaction in Tobacco Cells

1995

Treatment of suspension-cultured tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum var Xanthi) cells with cryptogein, a proteinaceous elicitor from Phytophthora cryptogea, induced a great stimulation of Ca2+ influx within the first minutes. Ca2+ influx is essential for the initiation of cryptogein-induced responses, since ethyleneglycol-bis([beta]-amino-ethyl ether)-N,N[prime]-tetraacetic acid or La3+, which block Ca2+ entrance, suppress cryptogein-induced responses such as extracellular alkalinization, active oxygen species, and phytoalexin production. Moreover, once initiated, these responses require sustained Ca2+ influx within the 1st h. A Ca2+ ionophore (A23187) was able to trigger an extracellular alkaliniz…

Phosphoproteins Involved in the Signal Transduction of Cryptogein, an Elicitor of Defense Reactions in Tobacco

2000

We previously reported that the signal transduction of cryptogein, an elicitor of defense reactions in Nicotiana tabacum cells, involves upstream protein phosphorylation. In the present study, induction of these early physiological events was further investigated with inhibitors of protein phosphatase (PP), okadaïc acid, and calyculin A. Calyculin A mimicked the effects of cryptogein, inducing an influx of calcium, an extracellular alkalinization, and the production of active oxygen species (AOS), suggesting that during cryptogein signal transduction the balance between specific protein kinase (PK) and PP activities was modified. To identify the phosphorylated proteins that could be involv…

Protein phosphorylation is induced in tobacco cells by the elicitor cryptogein

1994

Changes in plasmalemma ion fluxes were observed when tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) cells were treated with cryptogein, a proteinaceous elicitor from Phytophthora cryptogea. A strong alkalization of the culture medium, accompanied by a leakage of potassium, was induced within a few minutes of treatment. These effects reached a maximum after 30 to 40 min and lasted for several hours. This treatment also resulted in a rapid, but transient, production of activated oxygen species. All these physiological responses were fully sensitive to staurosporine, a known protein kinase inhibitor. Furthermore, a study of protein phosphorylation showed that cryptogein induced a staurosporine-sensitive phosphor…

Food healthy knowledge, attitudes and practices: Survey of the general public and food handlers

2017

AbstractModifying the energy content of foods, particularly foods eaten away from home, is important in addressing the obesity epidemic. Food handlers in the restaurant industry are uniquely placed to influence the provision of reduced-calorie foods, but little is known about their opinions on this issue. The objectives of the present study were to determine the general public and food handlers׳ knowledge and opinions, issues and barriers related to providing these items on the menu, and about the influence of the calorie content of restaurant items on customer intake. The food handlers surveyed had a significantly lower food science knowledge score than the general public. There was signif…
