Stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju saistība ar pašizaugsmi atkarībā no uztvertā stresa un iekšējās motivācijas līmeņa

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot un izvērtēt stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju saistību ar pašizaugsmi atkarībā no uztvertā stresa un iekšējās motivācijas līmeņa. Pētījumā piedalījās 232 dalībnieki vecumā no 19 līdz 63 gadiem (M=34,35; SD=10,62). Pētījuma ietvarā tika veikta personīgās izaugsmes iniciatīvas aptaujas lingvistiskā adaptācija un izmantotas jau pieejamās aptaujas: “Stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju aptauja”; “Uztvertā stresa skala”; “Iekšējās motivācijas aptauja”. Cancer patients experience pain not only in its physical dimension, but also in a broader context that includes psychological, social, and spiritual aspects due to a higher level of anxiety and stress. The present prospective, longitudinal study examined the relationship between total pain and illness acceptance among pelvic cancer patients, taking into consideration the moderated mediation effects of self-efficacy and stress. The study involved a sample of pelvic cancer patients receiving radiotherapy treatment. Pētījuma mērķi bija sekojoši: izpētīt vai studentu neadaptīvs perfekcionisms saistīsies ar augstāku psiholoģisko distresu; vai studentu neadaptīvs perfekcionisms saistīsies ar zemāku līdzjūtību pret sevi; vai līdzjūtība pret sevi saistīsies ar zemāku psiholoģisko distresu. This paper reports some of the findings from a study that aimed to analyse the importance attributed by secondary education teachers from the province of Castellón (Spain) to teaching competencies and to establish professional profiles from their responses. The survey was based on a purposely designed questionnaire answered by a representative sample of 136 secondary teachers from Castellón, representing 23 school departments. Bloodstream Infection Incidence of Different Central Venous Catheters in Neonates: A Descriptive Cohort Study

Central venous catheters (CVCs) in neonates are associated with a risk of central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI). Most reports on the incidence of CLABSI in neonates focus on umbilical venous catheters (UVCs) and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs). We evaluated the incidence and risk factors for CLABSI in a cohort of neonates with femoral venous catheters (FVCs), UVCs, and PICCs, with a gestational age ≥34 weeks born between January 1, 2006 and June 30, 2013. We included 2,986 neonates with a total of 656 catheters.
