Ophthalmic drug delivery is still a challenge due to the protective barriers of the eye. A common strategy to promote drug absorption is the use of ocular permeation enhancers, while an innovative approach is the use of polymeric micelles. In the present work, the two mentioned approaches were coupled by conjugating ocular permeation enhancers (PEG2000, carnitine, creatine, taurine) to an inulin-based co-polymer (INU-EDA-RA) in order to obtain self-assembling biopolymers with permeation enhancer properties for the hydrophobic drug dexamethasone (DEX). Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādas saistības pastāv starp personības iezīmēm, emociju regulācijas stratēģijām un stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģijām indivīdiem ar depresijas simptomiem. Tāpat mērķis bija noskaidrot, kuri no personības iezīmju, emociju regulācijas un stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju faktoriem vislabāk prognozē depresijas simptomu pazīmes. Un visbeidzot - vai pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības personības iezīmju, emociju regulācijas un stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju rādītājiem indivīdiem ar depresijas simptomiem un indivīdiem bez depresijas simptomiem. Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt ugunsdzēsības un glābšanas dienestā strādājošo darbinieku ar darbu saistītu riska uztveri, uztverto stresu un to saistību ar personības iezīmēm, ņemot vērā amatu un darba stāžu dienestā. Pētījumā piedalījās 85 vīrieši, kas ir ugunsdzēsības un glābšanas dienesta darbinieki no Valsts ugunsdzēsības un glābšanas dienesta Rīgas struktūrvienībām un daļām. Pētījuma ietvaros tika izmantota Uztvertā stresa skala, Lielā piecinieka aptauja, Asu izjūtu meklēšanas skala un, šī maģistra darba ietvaros izveidotā, Ar darbu saistītā riska uztveres skala. Etant donné que motz et sos des troubadours sont souvent étudiés séparément dans la tradition d'études scientifiques, nous allons essayer d'intégrer les données philologiques et musicologiques pour présenter une 'lecture' chantée et commentée de quatre pièces parmi les moins connues (et les moins enregistrées) de Bernart de Ventadorn, qui nous offrent néanmoins un aperçu assez représentatif des différentes typologies musicales associées à ses chansons par la tradition manuscrite.

This study aimed to characterize the physiological and structural responses of potted one-year-old olive trees belonging to two olive cultivars—‘Nocellara del Belice’ and ‘Cerasuola’—exposed to prolonged drought under greenhouse conditions. Background: The present study aimed to investigate how subjective self-reported stress is associated with objective heart rate variability (HRV)-based stress and recovery on workdays. Another aim was to investigate how physical activity (PA), body composition, and age are associated with subjective stress, objective stress, and recovery. The role played by physical activity in promoting bone health is now widely recognized. Physical activity limits and slows down the physiological demineralization that occurs over the years and plays an important role in the prevention of osteoporosis. SuperJump, a high-impact training activity performed on a mini-trampoline characterized by alternating between aerobic and anaerobic exercises, has been shown to be able to generate a substantial osteogenic response and increase bone balance and strength in eumenorrheic women.
