A design framework and principles for co-designing learning environments fostering learning and wellbeing

Increased understanding of the complex synergetic influences of psychosocial and physical learning environments (LEs) on learning and wellbeing has drawn attention to their careful design. Contemporary learner-centred educational paradigms emphasise the importance of learner involvement in the LE design. A gap exists, however, between the theoretical discourses of LE design and their application into educational practice. This paper introduces two general models for computing centiles when the response variable Y can take values between 0 and 1, inclusive of 0 or 1. The models developed are more flexible alternatives to the beta inflated distribution. The first proposed model employs a flexible four parameter logit skew Student t (logitSST) distribution to model the response variable Y on the unit interval (0, 1), excluding 0 and 1. Abstract: In Tanzania, the national examinations are used as the primary tools for selection and transition from lower to upper secondary education. Female students are more likely to fail in the national exams and to drop out from education. Inquiry-based teaching has been at the heart of science education since it was first outlined in national standards over a decade ago. The general idea behind the inquiry guidelines is that pupils would adopt ways of conducting science, in addition to conceptually learning, thus attaining also the epistemological dimension of science. Pētījuma “Latvijas Universitātes studentu digitālā pratība attālināto studiju laikā” mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai studentiem ir pietiekama digitālā pratība, lai īstenotu attālināto studiju procesu. Pētījuma teorētisko bāzi veido pragmatisms, konektīvisma teorija, ELIS modelis un digitālās pratības ietvars DigComp2.0. Empīriskā pētījuma veikšanai tika izmantota anketēšana, intervēšana un fokusgrupas diskusija. Pētījuma rezultāti parāda, ka studentu digitālā pratība attālināto studiju laikā ir uzlabojusies.
