Factors explaining the learning of generic skills : a study of university students’ experiences

Although generic skills have received widespread attention from both policymakers and educationalists, little is known regarding how students acquire these skills, or how they should best be taught. Hence, the aim of this study was to identify what kinds of pedagogical practices are behind the learning of eight particular generic skills. The data were collected from university students (N = 163, n = 123) via Internet questionnaires. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest ukazanie dylematów i ograniczeń, jakie towarzyszą studentom pedagogiki specjalnej, a związane są z podjęciem pracy zawodowej w przyszłości. Istotne było uzyskanie odpowiedzi na pytania dotyczące: czynników determinujących pracę pedagoga specjalnego; oceny własnej przygotowania teoretycznego i praktycznego do podjęcia pracy; znaczenia odbytych praktyk pedagogicznych; rodzajów trudności, jakie może napotkać nauczyciel pracujący z uczniami z niepełnosprawnością; czynników determinujących wybór miejsca pracy. Many studies have reported that economics and business students have been more apt to act in selfinterested ways when compared to their counterparts in other academic fields. It is our contention that past studies have not shed light on the underlying psychological differences which might be leading to this difference in behavior. Relation between current alcohol consumption and attitude towards alcohol use among students

Wprowadzenie: Celem badań było zweryfikowanie związku między częstotliwością i ilością spożywania alkoholu a postawą studentów wobec picia alkoholu. Materiał i metody: W poprzecznych badaniach ankietowych, z wykorzystaniem kwestionariusza PBS „Studenci 2004”, uczestniczyło 908 studentów drugiego roku studiów politechnicznych (w tym 30% kobiet) w wieku od 19 do 36 lat (M = 21,23; SD = 1,26).
