Development of the private university in angola and professionalization of lecturers

Our research comes within the scope of Social Sciences, and more particularly within Management Sciences, since our central question concerns the professionalization of lecturers, their career path, their training practices, and their skills.Two surveys carried out among a sample of lecturers from private universities in Angola, as well as analyses of responses to closed and open questionnaires, show that human resources management concerns both lecturers and the future managers trained by them.

Background: Despite numerous studies exploring medical students’ attitudes to communication skills learning (CSL), there are apparently no studies comparing different experiential learning methods and their influence on students’ attitudes. Aims: We compared medical students’ attitudes to learning communication skills before and after a communication course in the data as a whole, by gender and when divided into three groups using different methods. Abstract A set of teaching materials dealing with harmonic oscillations was developed as part of a research project investigating the influence of different pedagogical tools on physics learning. The materials incorporate simulation software and laboratory activities associated with Teacher and Student Units. The project involved research groups at seven Italian universities and the materials have been trialled in high schools nation‐wide. Fostering agency as a core component of professionalism is seen as a critical task of higher education. However, the tools for assessing university students’ agency, and the pedagogical and relational resources needed for its development, are lacking. The study investigates the preschool readiness of moderately preterm children and, in particular, the likely presence of learning disabilities at preschool age.
