Dog blogs as ventriloquism: Authentication of the human voice

This paper looks at personal blogging by dog owners in an international, English language blogsite in which dog owners from around the world report and reflect upon their dogs and their lives with dogs, and do so by using the dog׳s voice. It approaches dog blogs as an example of the strategic use of pervasive but contentious anthropomorphic western discourses about animals and discusses how dog bloggers use anthropomorphism as a discursive means for crafting and collectively ratifying authenticity in a translocal, interest-driven and informal social media context in which traditional territorial and demographic parameters of authenticity are not easily available or relevant. Wojciech Kuczok and Szczepan Twardoch are prominent writers of Silesian origins. Their opuses, in particular Kuczok’s Gnój and Twardoch’s Drach occupy prized place in modern Polish literature. Both authors apply native dialect in their literary works. Regarding the subject of their works and the use of linguistic materiał it is impossible to separate the conclusions from the analysis from the perennial discussions about the culture and Silesian language. The literary output of both authors inscribe in the above mentioned discourse. Thus the linguacultural picture, presented as a part of world depicted in their works, is very important. O stylizacji gwarowej dyskusyjnie (na materiale wybranych utworów współczesnej prozy polskiej)

Artykuł przedstawia problemy związane z pojęciem „stylizacji gwarowej” i rozbieżnościami w interpretacji zjawiska, jakie odnajdujemy w literaturze przedmiotu. Autor dokonuje krytyczne-go omówienia poglądów takich badaczy problematyki, jak S. Dubisz, A. Wilkoń, T. Kostkiewiczowa, T. Skubalanka. Za podstawę analityczną przyjmuje teorię stylizacji M.R. Mayenowej. Nie każde wprowadzenie do tekstu elementów gwary oznacza stylizację. Stylizacja gwarowa realizuje się przede wszystkim w tekstach stylu artystycznego, ale w utworach literackich jednostki gwarowe mogą być też cytatami bądź elementami realiów świata przedstawionego funkcjonującymi na zasadzie motywu.
