Chemical composition and microencapsulation suitability of sumac (Rhus coriaria L.) fruit extract

Sumac (Rhus coriaria L.), a spice obtained by grinding whole sumac berries, is a complex natural product with a plethora of biological activities that can be favorably explored in nutraceutical and pharmaceutical fields. Sicilian sumac is herein chemically investigated by means of a combined NMR/HR MS-based profiling. A hydroalcoholic extract was prepared and its complexity unraveled following fractionation in an alcoholic and an aqueous fraction. Mūsdienu pasaulē migrēnas terapijai izmanto kā tradicionālus pretsāpju līdzekļus, tā arī specifiskus pretmigrēnas preparātus no triptānu klases, piemēram, sumatriptānu, eletriptānu vai frovatriptānu. Maģistra darba mērķis ir apkopot un analizēt pretmigrēnas triptānu grupas medikamentu patēriņu aptieku tīklā „Mana aptieka” par periodu no 2009. līdz 2013. gadam, ar anketēšanas metodi iegūt un apkopot neirologu, un pacientu viedokli par migrēnas terapijas un profilakses metodēm. Galvenie secinājumi: visplašāk lietotais triptānu klases preparāts ir sumatriptāns (ap 92%), šīs grupas zāļu patēriņš gadu no gada pieaug. Rhus coriaria Linn is a little plant growing in the Mediterranean basin, including Sicily, where it is known as Sicilian Sumac. Since antiquity, it has been used as a medicinal herb, considering its pharmacological properties and its recognized anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial effects. Dabisko ganību apsaimniekošanā kompleksās palienes ainavās ļoti nozīmīgi ir mitruma apstākļi – palu dinamika un sausuma periodi, jo tie dabiskajos zālājos atšķirībā no kultivētajiem zālājiem var ievērojami ietekmēt barības vielu apriti, augu izdzīvošanas spēju, ražību un šo faktoru saistību ar ganību apsaimniekošanas praksi, tāpēc maģistra darbā tika izanalizēta mitruma apstākļu (nokrišņu, palu un sausuma periodu) ietekme uz ganāmpulka, ganību apsaimniekošanu un ganību ražību ilgtermiņā – 17 gadu periodā.
