Partial data inverse problems and simultaneous recovery of boundary and coefficients for semilinear elliptic equations

We study various partial data inverse boundary value problems for the semilinear elliptic equation $\Delta u+ a(x,u)=0$ in a domain in $\mathbb R^n$ by using the higher order linearization technique introduced in [LLS 19, FO19]. We show that the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map of the above equation determines the Taylor series of $a(x,z)$ at $z=0$ under general assumptions on $a(x,z)$. The determination of the Taylor series can be done in parallel with the detection of an unknown cavity inside the domain or an unknown part of the boundary of the domain. High overtone excitation induced conformational isomerization of glycolic acid – nitrogen complex in an argon matrix was investigated by Raman spectroscopy. The interaction between glycolic acid and nitrogen change the green light (532 nm) induced isomerization processes compared to non-complexed glycolic acid. Guaranteed error bounds for linear algebra problems and a class of Picard-Lindelöf iteration methods

This study focuses on iteration methods based on the Banach fixed point theorem and a posteriori error estimates of Ostrowski. Their application for systems of linear simultaneous equations, bounded linear operators, as well as integral and differential equations is considered. The study presents a new version of the Picard–Lindelöf method for ordinary differential equations (ODEs) supplied with guaranteed and explicitly computable upper bounds of the approximation error. The estimates derived in the thesis take into account interpolation and integration errors and, therefore, provide objective information on the accuracy of computed approximations.

Tässä tutkielmassa käsittelen Helene Schjerfbeckin ja Åke Mattaksen omakuvia Julia Kristevan abjekti-käsitteestä muodostamani tulkinnan kautta. Abjekti liittyy yksilön psyyken kehityksessä primäärinarsismiksi nimettyyn vaiheeseen, jossa subjekti ei vielä ole täysin eriytynyt itsenäiseksi. Abjekti on elementti, joka säilyy psyyken rakenteessa toisaalta ylläpitäen sen rajoja, toisaalta häiriten niitä. Abjektin läsnäolosta kertoo esimerkiksi se sanaton kauhu, jota koemme kohdatessamme jotakin mädäntynyttä. Postmoderni käsitys minuudesta siis korostaa sen ikuista liikettä. The WEBT BL Lacertae Campaign 2001 and its extension : Optical light curves and colour analysis 1994–2002

BL Lacertae has been the target of four observing campaigns by the Whole Earth Blazar Telescope (WEBT) collaboration. In this paper we present UBVRI light curves obtained by theWEBT from 1994 to 2002, including the last, extended BL Lac 2001 campaign. A total of about 7500 optical observations performed by 31 telescopes from Japan to Mexico have been collected, to be added to the ∼15 600 observations of the BL Lac Campaign 2000. All these data allow one to follow the source optical emission behaviour with unprecedented detail. Tutkielma käsittelee kehollisuuden ja henkisyyden suhdetta kymmenen buenosairesilaisen joogaavan katolisen elämässä. Keskeisin tutkimuskysymys on, miten informantit merkityksellistävät omaa elämäänsä joogan ja katolilaisuuden kautta, ja millä tavalla nuo merkitykset kohtaavat yksilön maailmankatsomuksessa. Lähestymistapoina toimivat sekä symboli- että kehoantropologia. Symboliselta kannalta yksilö nähdään aktiivisena merkityksentuottajana, joka tulkitsee ja uudelleentulkitsee kokemuksiaan, ihmissuhteitaan ja elämäntapahtumiaan. In addition to the surname, the forename also defined his or her place within the family community, which for most people was the most important target in the identification process, especially in the early modern period. The identities of the persons in rural families were also to a great extent based on personal names inherited from forebears and the images thus created. Biblijne podstawy nauczania o Duchu Świętym w "Katechezach" Cyryla Jerozolimskiego

Tekst przedłożonego artykułu przedstawia nauczanie Cyryla Jerozolimskiego († 387) na temat Ducha Świętego w ramach jego interpretacji tzw. symbolu wiary stosowanego w Jerozolimie. Będąc autorem 18 katechez wygłoszonych do katechumenów i 5 skierowanych do neofitów, dwie z nich poświęcił przekazaniu nauki o Duchu Świętym. Są nimi Katecheza XVI i Katecheza XVII umieszczone w cyklu nauk katechetycznych przeznaczonych dla katechumenów. Analiza tekstowa tych katechez doprowadziła do wyselekcjonowania kilku aspektów tego nauczania, mającego charakter biblijnego udokumentowania przekazywanych wątków.
