International audience; In this paper we face system dynamics modelling and cellular automata to model panic processes. We compare both models using phase plans. The results of simulation confirm our hypotheses: First, a collective behaviour is not the arithmetical sum of the individual behaviours. Secondly the crowd causes the emergence of collective panic from individual panic. Both types of methodology produce the emergence of panic and identical curves for different values of initial conditions and parameters. But the effects of thresholds vary according to these values.

This paper aims to develop a conceptual framework on how Intellectual Capital (IC) accumulation and depletion processes are dynamically interrelated with firm performance. Such a framework makes explicit the relationships between policy levers, strategic resources, drivers, end-results and performance indicators through a Dynamic Resource-based perspective. One basic adaptation function of an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) consists of selecting the most appropriate next task to be offered to the learner. This decision can be based on estimates, such as the expected performance of the student, or the probability that the student successfully solves each particular task. This chapter discusses the possible growth of black markets (BMs) for software vulnerabilities and factors affecting their spread. It is difficult to collect statistics about BMs for vulnerabilities and their associated transactions, as they are hidden from general view. We conduct a disguised observation of online BM trading sites to identify causal models of the ongoing viability of BMs. Our observation results are expressed as a system dynamic model. We implement simulations to observe the effects of possible actions to disrupt BMs. The results suggest that without interventions the number and size of BMs is likely to increase.
