Numerical construction of the density-potential mapping
2018
We demonstrate how a recently developed method Nielsen et al. [Nielsen et al., EPL 101, 33001 (2013)] allows for a comprehensive investigation of time-dependent density functionals in general, and of the exact time-dependent exchange-correlation potential in particular, by presenting the first exact results for two- and three-dimensional multi-electron systems. This method is an explicit realization of the Runge–Gross correspondence, which maps time-dependent densities to their respective potentials, and allows for the exact construction of desired density functionals. We present in detail the numerical requirements that makes this method efficient, stable and precise even for large and rap…

Convergence Analysis of Extended Kalman Filter for Sensorless Control of Induction Motor
2015
This paper deals with convergence analysis of the extended Kalman filters (EKFs) for sensorless motion control systems with induction motor (IM). An EKF is tuned according to a six-order discrete-time model of the IM, affected by system and measurement noises, obtained by applying a first-order Euler discretization to a six-order continuous-time model. Some properties of the discrete-time model have been explored. Among these properties, the observability property is relevant, which leads to conditions that can be directly linked with the working conditions of the machine. Starting from these properties, the convergence of the stochastic state estimation process, in mean square sense, has b…
OPTEER, un dispositif de connaissance et d’analyse territoriale par et pour les acteurs de la transition énergétique
2018
International audience; The aim of this article is to illustrate, through the implementation and exploitation of the OPTEER platform (Territorial Energy Observation and Prospective at the Regional scale), how the various tools made available to territorial actors and what collective uses of geographic information have developed. Based on his experience of more than 10 years, around which crystallized operational developments and research experiments, are also evoked the new needs related to the requirements of the implementation of energy transition and the tracks of research, development and porting envisaged to guarantee the durability of the device.; Cet article a pour objectif d’illustre…
Promotion of school engagement through dialogic teaching practices in the context of a teacher professional development programme
2021
This study was conducted in the context of a teacher professional development programme that aimed to improve dialogic teaching in the classroom, and it describes the programme and examines the change in teachers' dialogic teaching practices and pupils' classroom engagement during the programme. Data on pupils' school engagement were collected using classroom video recordings and students' self-ratings at the end of the lesson including dialogic teaching practices. The participants comprised seven in-service teachers and their 140 pupils (10- to 15-year-olds) from two comprehensive schools. The findings indicated positive change in the use of dialogic teaching practices and in observed pupi…
Software Complexity and Organization of Firms’ Offshoring Activities
2017
How does software complexity shape software providers’ offshoring tasks, and how do such firms organize their offshoring activity? These questions are important, since the global software development market is growing rapidly, offering new opportunities for software managers and entrepreneurs to distribute their activities geographically. Based on a multi-site case study of 12 software firms, we study connections between software complexity and the offshoring strategies selected. Our findings suggest that software firms select a variety of organizational structures for their offshoring activity, and that the selection is shaped by the complexity of the software in question. peerReviewed
The state of research on software engineering competencies: A systematic mapping study
2022
Considering the critical role of software in modern societies, we face an urgent need to educate more competent software professionals. Software engineering competencies (SEC) are considered the backbone of successfully developing software products. Consequently, SEC has become a hotspot for software engineering research and practice. Although scientific literature on SEC is not lacking, to our knowledge, a comprehensive overview of the current state of SEC research is missing. To that end, we conducted an extensive and systematic review of the SEC literature. We provide an overview of the current state of research on SEC, with a particular focus on common SEC research areas. In addition to…
Hyaluronan Graft Copolymers Bearing Fatty-Acid Residues as Self-Assembling Nanoparticles for Olanzapine Delivery
2019
In order to evaluate the potential of a technology platform based on hyaluronan copolymers grafted with propargylated ferulate fluorophores (HA-FA-Pg) in the development of drug delivery systems, the propargyl groups of HA-FA-Pg derivatives were employed with oleic acid (OA) or stearic acid (SA) residues across a biocompatible hexa(ethylene glycol) (HEG) spacer. The designed materials (i.e., HA-FA-HEG-OA or HA-FA-HEG-SA) showed clear-cut aggregation features in an aqueous environment, as confirmed by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), generating nanoaggregate systems. In fact, HA-FA-HEG-OA and HA-FA-HEG-SA derivatives showed the property to create sel…
Solvatochromic behaviour of new donor–acceptor oligothiophenes
2021
Oligothiophene derivatives play a central role in the formulation of materials used in devices in the field of organic electronics. In this work, we report the results of the study of UV-vis absorption and fluorescence spectra, in several solvents, of a series of oligothiophenes recently synthesized in our laboratory. The studied oligothiophenes present different structures due to several factors: the donor– acceptor (D–A) or acceptor–donor–acceptor (A–D–A) architecture, the number of thiophene rings in the backbone (ranging from three to eight), the number and position of solubilizing octyl chains in the backbone, and the type of acceptor moieties (from Knoevenagel condensation either with…
