Their ability to indicate various types of anthropogenic stressors is widely recognized which has made them an integral component of freshwater biomonitoring. The use of macroinvertebrates in biomonitoring is dependent on manual taxa identification which is currently a time-consuming and cost-intensive process conducted by highly trained taxonomical experts. LOCAL CONTROL OF SOUND IN STOCHASTIC DOMAINS BASED ON FINITE ELEMENT MODELS

A numerical method for optimizing the local control of sound in a stochastic domain is developed. A three-dimensional enclosed acoustic space, for example, a cabin with acoustic actuators in given locations is modeled using the finite element method in the frequency domain. The optimal local noise control signals minimizing the least square of the pressure field in the silent region are given by the solution of a quadratic optimization problem. The developed method computes a robust local noise control in the presence of randomly varying parameters such as variations in the acoustic space. Essence : Reference Architecture for Software Engineering - Representing Essence in Archimate Notation

Essence is a standard for working with methods in software engineering. As such, it can be seen as the reference architecture for software engineering. The Essence consists of the Kernel, and a notation called the Language. This representation is not widely known and likely hinders the adoption of the Essence. This paper represents the work-in-progress of representing the Essence using ArchiMate, the de facto notation for enterprise architecture. Towards gender awareness in couple therapy and in treatment of intimate partner violence

Gender is the most pervasive classification of individuals and thus strongly defines couple relationships. Cultural discourses on couple relationships reproduce hierarchical gender differences, and couple distress is often linked to gendered power inequalities. At worst, gender is the basis for intimate partner violence (IPV). Generally, however, therapeutic interventions do not address the issues of gender and gendered power. Although not bound by law, by option, small and medium entities from Romania can prepare the statement for the modifications within their equity and / or the statement of cash flows. When companies select this option, any decision made by the consumer of accounting information is better founded, from the perspective of information sources that it uses, rather than the opposite, because the users of accounting information about a company are almost always interested by the way in which the company generates and uses cash and cash equivalents. In this paper we present the particularities implied in Romania by the preparation of the statement of cash flows using the indirect method.
