Este artículo, después de revisar el estado de la cuestión sobre la literatura artúrica en España y sus posibles vías de penetración, estudia su presencia en un período de tiempo y espacio concretos: 1416-1474 en la ciudad de Valencia. Para ello analiza los títulos del ciclo artúrico que aparecen en los inventarios notariales de esa misma ciudad, además de plantear las posibles conexiones con la novela de caballerías. From 1338 onwards, the inhabitants of late-medieval Valencia celebrated a feast every 9 October commemorating the entrance into the city of King James I’s forces on that day in 1238. It has been argued that this was essentially a spiritual display from its establishment in 1338 until the beginning of the fifteenth century. The present study delves deeper into the religious and political aims of the feast from its origins, framing the celebration within a broader Mediterranean context. The target area of my research is the history of the theatre in the last decades of the 19th and the first decades of the 20th centuries. I am trying to reveal what kind of theatre existed on the fringes of the world of theatre, because in the first decades of the 20th century several artists tried to follow the new European trends and to make use of their results. I wish to present this process through the careers of two actors: Irén Feld and Artúr Bárdos. Besides these experiments I wish to deal with theatre in the country.
