Gliding Motility and Expression of Motility-Related Genes in Spreading and Non-spreading Colonies of Flavobacterium columnare

Gliding motility facilitates the movement of bacteria along surfaces in many Bacteroidetes species and results in spreading colonies. The adhesins required for the gliding are secreted through a gliding motility-associated protein secretion system, known as the type IX secretion system (T9SS). The fish pathogen Flavobacterium columnare produces spreading (rhizoid [Rz], soft [S]) and non-spreading (rough [R]) colony types, of which only the spreading Rz type is virulent. About Graph Mappings

Summary In this articles adjacency-preserving mappings from a graph to another are formalized in the Mizar system [7], [2]. The generality of the approach seems to be largely unpreceeded in the literature to the best of the author’s knowledge. However, the most important property defined in the article is that of two graphs being isomorphic, which has been extensively studied. Another graph decorator is introduced as well.

Summary The previous articles [5] and [6] introduced formalizations of the step-by-step operations we use to construct finite graphs by hand. That implicitly showed that any finite graph can be constructed from the trivial edgeless graph K 1 by applying a finite sequence of these basic operations. In this article that claim is proven explicitly with Mizar[4].

Module categories of finite Hopf algebroids, and self-duality

International audience; We characterize the module categories of suitably finite Hopf algebroids (more precisely, $X_R$-bialgebras in the sense of Takeuchi (1977) that are Hopf and finite in the sense of a work by the author (2000)) as those $k$-linear abelian monoidal categories that are module categories of some algebra, and admit dual objects for "sufficiently many" of their objects. Then we proceed to show that in many situations the Hopf algebroid can be chosen to be self-dual, in a sense to be made precise. This generalizes a result of Pfeiffer for pivotal fusion categories and the weak Hopf algebras associated to them.

Summary In this article the notion of the underlying simple graph of a graph (as defined in [8]) is formalized in the Mizar system [5], along with some convenient variants. The property of a graph to be without decorators (as introduced in [7]) is formalized as well to serve as the base of graph enumerations in the future.
The dual and the double of a Hopf algebroid are Hopf algebroids

Let $H$ be a $\times$-bialgebra in the sense of Takeuchi. We show that if $H$ is $\times$-Hopf, and if $H$ fulfills the finiteness condition necessary to define its skew dual $H^\vee$, then the coopposite of the latter is $\times$-Hopf as well. If in addition the coopposite $\times$-bialgebra of $H$ is $\times$-Hopf, then the coopposite of the Drinfeld double of $H$ is $\times$-Hopf, as is the Drinfeld double itself, under an additional finiteness condition.

International audience; Off-site material has two main interesting properties which are that it is spatially continuous and diachronic. Such data can be used to estimate how ancient societies invested in a space in terms of intensity, durability and stability, over the long term. This micro-analysis is based on a precise record of off-site material based on collection units which never exceed five hectares. Each off-site sherd was dated and attributed to one of seven chronological phases. Three new indicators are proposed to measure the level of investment of ancient societies. Osaa liikunnan terveyshyötyjen mekanismeista on vaikeaa tutkia ihmisillä tai koe-eläimillä. Viljeltyjen C2C12 myotuubien sähköpulssistimulaatiolla (EPS, engl. electrical pulse stimulation) voidaan mallintaa lihassupistuksia ja liikuntaa in vitro –olosuhteissa. EPS:n vaikutusta C2C12 myotuubien aineenvaihduntaan ei kuitenkaan tunneta tarkasti.
