Il paesaggio naturale è sì punto di fuga dall’eccesso di artificio, ma costituisce un sistema entro cui è possibile trovare nuovi equilibri e nuove forme, da cui ripartire per ricercare la sapienza e la misura dell’abitare. Scrivere della propria esperienza dell'abitare nella costrizione provocata dalla pandemia mette insieme pensieri che fra loro possono stridere come due lamiere che improvvisamente e con violenza arrivano al contatto. Si sprigiona una scintilla fra immagini contrapposte. Per dare forma a queste due figure si richiama una poesia intitolata "Prospettiva" di Wislawa Szymborska e un breve ricordo del padre di Georges Simenon. I due testi mettono insieme le sensazioni opposte che ognuno di noi ha vissuto a casa in questo periodo. Un attimo del presente e un ricordo vissuto del passato remoto.

Tutkimuksen tehtävänä on selvittää, millaista retoriikkaa Suomen jatkosodan aikaiset pääministerit JW Rangell sekä Edwin Linkomies puheissaan käyttivät. Tarkastelen tutkimuskysymystä analysoimalla kaksi puhetta, joista toisen puheen piti Rangell syksyllä 1941. Toinen on Linkomiehen kesällä 1944 pitämä puhe. Analysoin puheet erittäin tarkasti käyttämällä metodina valtio-opin alalla yleistä argumentaatioanalyysia. Pääasiallisena teoreetikkona käytän Chaim Perelmanin retoriikkatutkimusta ja tukena myös Aristoteleen Retoriikka-teosta sekä uudempaa retoriikka- ja sotaretoriikkatutkimusta. Measurement of the atmospheric ?µ energy spectrum from 100 GeV to 200 TeV with the ANTARES telescope

Atmospheric neutrinos are produced during cascades initiated by the interaction of primary cosmic rays with air nuclei. In this paper, a measurement of the atmospheric energy spectrum in the energy range 0.1-200 TeV is presented, using data collected by the ANTARES underwater neutrino telescope from 2008 to 2011. Overall, the measured flux is similar to 25 % higher than predicted by the conventional neutrino flux, and compatible with the measurements reported in ice. The flux is compatible with a single power-law dependence with spectral index gamma (meas)=3.58 +/- 0.12. With the present statistics the contribution of prompt neutrinos cannot be established.

[EN] Astrophysical sources of gravitational waves, such as binary neutron star and black hole mergers or core-collapse supernovae, can drive relativistic outflows, giving rise to non-thermal high-energy emission. High-energy neutrinos are signatures of such outflows. The detection of gravitational waves and high-energy neutrinos from common sources could help establish the connection between the dynamics of the progenitor and the properties of the out¿ow. Microphysical Properties of Ice Crystal Precipitation and Surface-Generated Ice Crystals in a High Alpine Environment in Switzerland

AbstractDuring the Cloud and Aerosol Characterization Experiment (CLACE) 2013 field campaign at the High Altitude Research Station Jungfraujoch, Switzerland, optically thin pure ice clouds and ice crystal precipitation were measured using holographic and other in situ particle instruments. For cloud particles, particle images, positions in space, concentrations, and size distributions were obtained, allowing one to extract size distributions classified by ice crystal habit. Single particle characterization of black carbon aerosols at a tropospheric alpine site in Switzerland

The refractory black carbon (rBC) mass, size distribution (190–720 nm) and mixing state in sub-micron aerosols were characterized from late February to March 2007 using a single particle incandescence method at the high alpine research station Jungfraujoch (JFJ), Switzerland (46.33° N, 7.59° E, 3580 m a.s.l.). JFJ is a ground based location, which is at times exposed to continental free tropospheric air.
