Il saggio “L’ex convento carcere di San Vito di Agrigento. Studi sulle trasformazioni e proposte per la sua conservazione” indaga l’antico convento dei frati Minori di Agrigento, trasformato nel sec. XIX in carcere di Agrigento. Il convento, costruito fuori le mura della città, era costituito dalla chiesa, dal chiostro e dal convento con le celle e gli spazi comuni dei frati. La nuova destinazione a carcere, con i lavori effettuati tra la metà del sec. XIX, primi e metà del sec. XX, ha in parte distrutto e occultato il convento medievale. The purpose of this chapter is to describe the FADS symposia and the functioning of the network in between the actual gatherings, and to explain the meetings and their significance to everyone’s dissertation work. Three FADS students who participated in the symposia and engaged in the different assignments wrote this chapter together. The description and discussion is based on our own experiences, and on the observations and discoveries we have made about others during our face-to-face conversations, and from the online forum that functioned as a common space for further commentary and discussion between meetings. Background: FLT3-ITD occurs in ~25% of adult AML patients (pts) and is associated with poor prognosis. MRD monitoring is of high prognostic relevance, but restricted to certain AML subtypes. Computer vision and machine learning can be used to automate various tasks in cancer diagnostic and detection. If an attacker can manipulate the automated processing, the results can be devastating and in the worst case lead to wrong diagnosis and treatment. In this research, the goal is to demonstrate the use of one-pixel attacks in a real-life scenario with a real pathology dataset, TUPAC16, which consists of digitized whole-slide images. We attack against the IBM CODAIT's MAX breast cancer detector using adversarial images. Tumor-stroma ratio (TSR) is a prognostic factor for many types of solid tumors. In this study, we propose a method for automated estimation of TSR from histopathological images of colorectal cancer. The method is based on convolutional neural networks which were trained to classify colorectal cancer tissue in hematoxylin-eosin stained samples into three classes: stroma, tumor and other. The models were trained using a data set that consists of 1343 whole slide images. The soft X-ray emission from high density plasma in CTTS is associated with the accretion process. It is still unclear whether this high density cool plasma is heated in the accretion shock, or if it is coronal plasma fed/modified by the accretion process. We conducted a coordinated quasi-simultaneous optical and X-ray observing campaign of the CTTS V2129 Oph (Chandra/HETGS data to constrain the X-ray emitting plasma components, and optical observations to constrain the characteristics of accretion and magnetic field). Francesco Bongioannini (1847-1928)fu un ingegnere con ruolo ispettivo che ha operò per un lungo periodo in seno alla Direzione generale di AABB. Nell’ambito del restauro architettonico, fu l’estensore di norme e direttive per una generale e centralizzata opera di controllo sull’azione conservativa dei monumenti. L’iniziativa di maggiore rilievo riguardò la stesura del Decreto Ministeriale del 21 luglio 1882 «Sui restauri degli edifizi monumentali» e della relativa circolare applicativa n. 683 bis.
