The future is uncertain, but what is certain is that we can make sense of the future through our ‘antenarratives’. In this study, I shed light on prospective sensemaking and apply the concept of antenarrative as a framework to identify how strategy practitioners make sense of AI projects. The empirical case organization is a large Finnish financial organization that aims to be a digital leader. The case organization is currently developing and implementing AI in its business operations, a recent and emerging wave in the financial business sector. R&D with spillovers: Monopoly versus noncooperative and cooperative duopoly.

This paper compares industry profit and R&D propensity for a duopoly conducting either noncooperative or cooperative R&D and a monopoly, using two different basic models of strategic R&D. One postulates spillovers in R&D inputs and predicts that equilibrium joint profit and R&D levels are always larger under monopoly. The other postulates spillovers in R&D outputs and sometimes predicts that joint profit and R&D levels are larger under either of the alternative scenarios. In addition, unlike input spillovers, spillovers in R&D outputs sometimes exert a positive effect on both effective and private noncooperative R&D levels.

Abstract This paper examines the factors which influence sharing of the strategic information (in other words, electronic coordination) in a buyer–supplier dyad. The antecedents of this coordination are examined rather well in the transaction cost economics (TCE) theory and resource-dependency theory (RDT), while the supply chain management perspective is contemplated. The mentioned frameworks are used in the analysis. Zapewnienie wysokiego poziomu ochrony konsumentów oraz umieszczenie ich w centrum wewnętrznego rynku stanowi cel strategii na rzecz inteligentnego rozwoju sprzyjającego włączeniu społecznemu - Europa 2020. Takie podejście do suwerenności konsumentów jest stosunkowo nowym obszarem polityki europejskiej. W opracowaniu przedstawiono strategiczne plany ochrony konsumentów, wskazano na różnice, jakie występują w tej kwestii w dokumentach UE i ich polskich odpowiednikach. Omówiono także rolę europejskiej przestrzeni badawczej w zapewnieniu bezpieczeństwa konsumpcji i jej racjonalizacji.
