Spin Crossover and Long-Lived Excited States in a Reduced Molecular Ruby.

Abstract The chromium(III) complex [CrIII(ddpd)2]3+ (molecular ruby; ddpd=N,N′‐dimethyl‐N,N′‐dipyridine‐2‐yl‐pyridine‐2,6‐diamine) is reduced to the genuine chromium(II) complex [CrII(ddpd)2]2+ with d4 electron configuration. This reduced molecular ruby represents one of the very few chromium(II) complexes showing spin crossover (SCO). The reversible SCO is gradual with T 1/2 around room temperature. The low‐spin and high‐spin chromium(II) isomers exhibit distinct spectroscopic and structural properties (UV/Vis/NIR, IR, EPR spectroscopies, single‐crystal XRD). IMEX schemes for pricing options under jump–diffusion models

We propose families of IMEX time discretization schemes for the partial integro-differential equation derived for the pricing of options under a jump-diffusion process. The schemes include the families of IMEX-midpoint, IMEX-CNAB and IMEX-BDF2 schemes. Each family is defined by a convex combination parameter [email protected]?[0,1], which divides the zeroth-order term due to the jumps between the implicit and explicit parts in the time discretization. Although volcanic eruptions represent short periods in the whole history of a volcano, the large amount of loose pyroclastic material produced, combined with aeolian processes, can lead to continuous, long-lasting reworking of volcanic products. Driven by wind, these processes significantly influence the geomorphology and prolong the impacts of eruptions on exposed communities and ecosystems. Tutkimukseni tehtävänä on selvittää kolmannen sektorin roolia sosiaalisessa asuntotuotannossa. Tarkastelen, mitä mahdollisuuksia ja haasteita asunto- ja asumispalvelutuotantoon liittyy, kun tuottajana ei ole yksityinen tai julkinen toimija. Tutkin asiaa sekä kolmannen sektorin organisaation että organisaation asiakkaiden näkökulmista, joista viimeksi mainittu saa kuitenkin enemmän painoarvoa. Hypoteesina on, että kolmannen sektorin asuntotuotanto voi vahvistaa asukkaiden yhteisöllisyyden kokemusta edistämällä verkostoitumista.
