The aim of the present study was to investigate the mechanisms leading to muscle hypertrophy in humans by studying local muscle molecular and systemic hormonal responses to a single bout of heavy resistance exercise (RE) and to long-term resistance training (RT) with or without protein supplementation in a randomized controlled double-blinded design. In line with earlier studies, heavy RT for 21 weeks led to muscle hypertrophy and an increase in muscle strength in both young and older men. The present study was designed to obtain more information on mechanisms leading to muscle hypertrophy by determination of the effects of different heavy resistance exercise protocols on acute and chronic neuromuscular and hormonal responses in previously strength trained young men. The present study also examined gene expression of androgen receptors and insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) to further understand the adaptation mechanisms to resistance training. The paratext on the back cover of Margaret Mazzantini's Venuto al mondo (published in 2008, winner of Campiello Award 2009, a film in 2012, a serial tv in 2014) reports the 'prize motivation' written by the jury of Campiello, formed by important professors and literary critics. Comparing the text of the novel with the paratext of the book, the article analyses some sure results of the paratext, and also some strategic gaps and reticences.

A recent expanded edition of the book Asterusher by Michele Mari (2015 and 2019) suggests some reflections on the completeness of autobiographical discourse. The composition of the autobiographical phototext, with a systematic tripartite form and inspired by the tradition of the emblem, is identical in the two versions. The addition of some pages has not changed the original structure of the volume but asks questions about the possibilities of revision and/or completion of an autobiographical narrative, about the possibilities of rewriting an autobiography in the form of a diary, almost like a “curriculum” with continuous updating.

A breve distanza dalla mia edizione del volumetto nella collana Teubner (1977), è uscita l’edizione di uno studioso francese (Lenoir, 1979), poco attento ai messaggi del testo e pertanto depistante dalla realtà dei contenuti dell’opuscolo. A distanza di 35 anni, dopo aver steso parecchi articoli, con l’intento di rettificare proposte palesemente erronee dello studioso francese, avendo verificato che studiosi recenti si sono anche confusi nel citare qua e là il testo e nel richiamarne i contenuti, magari fornendo il mio testo e poi però un’interpretazione correlata al testo del Lenoir, ho ritenuto doveroso riproporre con delle modifiche il mio testo del 1977, con un apparato del tutto divers…

La scelta del titolo "elementi di psicodiagnostica" rende conto della natura processuale e complessa della valutazione clinica il cui oggetto di studio è la realtà psichica della persona nella sua unicità irripetibile. Sulla scia delle tesi più recenti viene presentato un impianto metodologico della psicodiagnostica che ha al centro l'individuo e le sue relazioni e privilegia la dimensione dell'ascolto e consente di cogliere le comunicazioni verbali e non verbali, anche mediante l'utilizzo di strumenti specifici quali ad esempio i test.
