A genetic and molecular approach to identify transcription factors controlling maize root adaptive response to water deficit

Water stress is recognized as the most severe abiotic stress for agricultural productivity. Root traits play a key role in tolerance to water stress but have largely been neglected in selection schemes. In order to identify the maize genetic bases of the root adaptive responses to water deficit (WD), we used a MAGIC mapping population of 400 lines based on the intercrossing of 16 genotypes. The fine phenotyping of the different genotypes was performed under contrasting water supply on the French root phenotyping platform (4PMI). A 1994 archaeological evaluation at Passy «Richebourg» (Yonne) brought to light a pit containing material dating to the second period of the Late Bronze Age. The typochronological analysis of this material has dated it to the Bronze final IIb (well-known period in the East of France). This work is part of a number of short papers allowing us to work on the precise dating of this second period of the Late Bronze Age in the Yonne area.

CA-SYS: A long term experimental platform on agroecology at various scales

National audience; The French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) has established an ambitious, multiscale, agricultural experimental infrastructure (the CA-SYS platform) as a collaboration between the Research Unit, Agroécologie (Dijon, eastern France), and the Experimental Research Unit, Domaine d’Epoisses (20 km next to Dijon). CA-SYS covers an area of 120 ha, and is divided into 47 fields, each of which has drainage and can be irrigated, and will be initiated in autumn 2018. Kehittämishankkeen eräänä tarkoituksena on antaa kokonaiskuva alakoulun oppilaanohjauksesta sekä osoittaa alakoulun ohjauksen tarpeellisuus. Ohjaus ja opettaminen eivät ole erillisiä, jokainen opettaja on samalla myös ohjaaja. Opetus on parhaimmillaan opiskelun ja oppimisen ohjaamista. Meditaation harjoittamiseen liitetään usein useita terveyshyötyjä. Elektroenkefalografia (EEG)-menetelmällä on mahdollista seurata hermostossa meditaatioistunnon aikana tapahtuvia ajallisia muutoksia. Löydöt tällä alueella antaisivat lisää tietoa erityisesti meditaation aivovasteista, mutta myös yleisempää tietoa aivojen toiminnasta luonnollisissa olosuhteissa. Tässä tutkielmassa käytetään Fourier-ICA:ksi kutsuttua itsenäisten komponenttien analyysin muunnelmaa meditaatioistunnoista saatujen EEG-aineistojen analyysiin ja näytetään että itsenäisten komponenttien analyysiä voi käyttää muuhunkin kuin vain häiriöiden poistamiseen, mikä on sen tavallisin käyttötapaus EEG-tutkimuksissa.
