Maģistra darba “Atbalsts remigrantiem Cēsu, Valmieras un Smiltenes pašvaldībās” mērķis ir noskaidrot Cēsu, Valmieras un Smiltenes pašvaldību sniegto atbalstu remigrantiem un tā atbilstību remigrantu vajadzībām. Maģistra darbs ir veltīts tam, lai apzinātu, kādus atbalsta instrumentus un mehānismus izmantot Cēsu, Valmieras un Smiltenes pašvaldības, lai pēc iespējas sekmīgāk attīstītu remigrāciju uz pašvaldībām. Kā arī pētījumā tiek apskatīts, vai atbalsts ir atbilstošs remigrantu vajadzībām. Digital storytelling constitutes a pedagogical tool for teachers to work on different linguistic skills while generating students’ interest and attention. This study analyses the usefulness of including digital storytelling within a didactic sequence in order to work on linguistic routines such as greetings and leave-takings in English as a foreign language. To this aim, we have worked with first year students in the Faculty of Education at the Universitat de València to improve their ability to adapt their language skills to specific situations within common daily interaction. Este artículo analiza los conflictos por los recursos agua y tierra en Cerro de San Pedro, México, cuando una empresa minera canadiense inició una mina a cielo abierto en este municipio. Examinamos diferentes posiciones en el conflicto entre la mina de oro y los habitantes locales, y cómo ambivalentes regulaciones nacionales y organismos gubernamentales permitieron que una empresa extranjera operara sin los permisos requeridos. La investigación que aquí se resume está centrada en el arte y su historia dentro de la educación primaria ya que se considera esta materia como clave para desvelar la mirada de los niños hacia el mundo que les rodea y así puedan aprender a descodificarlo. Desde el inicio de la investigación, se ha intuido que todavía no tenemos ninguna teoría del conocimiento que nos explique por qué los mismos niños pueden aprender entusiasmados algo y no querer aprender otra cosa. La investigación quería encontrar y aislar algunos de los factores que contribuyen al aprendizaje centrándose en las diferencias en el método de enseñanza como factor clave.

Atgriešanās līmeņa aprēķināšana ekstremāliem nokrišņiem Latvijā

Darbā tika aplūkota ekstremālo nokrišņu atgriešanās līmeņa aprēķināšana ar statistiskās modelēšanas palīdzību. Tas tika veikts ar divām dažādam metodēm, kas ietver sadalījuma piemeklēšanu datiem. Pirmā metode piemeklē sadalījumu gada maksimālām novērotām vērtībām (bloku maksimumu metode), otrā — datiem, kas pārsniedz noteikto slieksni (maksimumu virs sliekšņa metode). Lai pārbaudītu vai atrastais sadalījums atbilst datiem, tika veikti atbilstošie statistiskie testi. Tika salīdzināti abu metožu rezultāti novērotiem nokrišņu datiem Latvijā 1961.-2010. periodā. Thermal, spectroscopic and crystallographic analysis of mannose-derived linear polyols

The major diastereomer formed in the Barbier-type metal-mediated allylation of D-mannose has previously been shown to adopt a perfectly linear conformation, both in solid state and in solution, resulting in the formation of hydrogen-bonded networks and subsequent aggregation from aqueous solution upon stirring. Here, a comprehensive study of the solid state structure of both the allylated D-mannose and its racemic form has been conducted. Fast and robust phase-shift estimation in two-dimensional structured illumination microscopy.

A method of determining unknown phase-shifts between elementary images in two-dimensional Structured Illumination Microscopy (2D-SIM) is presented. The proposed method is based on the comparison of the peak intensity of spectral components. These components correspond to the inherent structured illumination spectral content and the residual compo- nent that appears from wrongly estimated phase-shifts. The estimation of the phase-shifts is carried out by finding the absolute maximum of a function defined as the normalized peak intensity difference in the Fourier domain.
