Background & Aims The profibrogenic role of transforming growth factor (TGF)-β in liver has mostly been attributed to hepatic stellate cell activation and excess matrix synthesis. Hepatocytes are believed to contribute to increased rates of apoptosis. El espanglish es un fenómeno peculiar, complejo y controvertido. Desde la aparición del término, hace ya siete décadas, ha suscitado polémicas, tanto en relación con el propio vocablo como en cuanto a su referente. En este trabajo proponemos y valoramos una serie de rasgos que pueden ser útiles a la hora de caracterizar y delimitar el espanglish como objeto empírico de estudio para las diversas disciplinas implicadas en su descripción y análisis.
