Introduction: In this chapter, I will summarize the literature on how music and altered states of consciousness (ASC) are connected. Essential aspects include induction and expression of emotions and rhythmic body movements to music and how an altered experience of music is connected to states of altered temporality. Winkelman (2000) stressed the human capacity for experiencing ASC as a fundamental biological function. Systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA) is an autoinflammatory disease characterised by fever and arthritis. We describe the case of a 14-year-old girl hospitalised with fever associated with rash, myalgia, arthralgia and polyarticular involvement. Examinations revealed increased levels of C-reactive protein, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, ferritin, triglycerides, leukocytes, neutrophils, lactate dehydrogenase, fibrinogen, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and γ-glutamyl transferase (GGT). Bakalaura darba “Laika apzīmējumi Homēra Odisejas valodā” mērķis ir izpētīt laika apzīmējumu formu un funkcionējumu Homēra Odisejas valodā. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, bakalaura darba teorētiskajā daļā apskatīti gan mūsdienu zinātnieku pētījumu materiāli par Homēra eposu Odiseja, gan Aristoteļa teorētiskās atziņas par episko stilu. Apskatīta arī teorētiskā literatūra par vārda semantiku. Darba gaitā tika pētīta laika apzīmējumu nozīme eposa kontekstā. Pētījuma procesā atklāts, ka laika apzīmējumi palīdz saprast laiktelpu, kurā notiek darbība. Measurement of the α ratio and (n,γ) cross section of 235U from 0.2 to 200 eV at n_TOF

We measured the neutron capture-to-fission cross-section ratio (α ratio) and the capture cross section of 235U between 0.2 and 200 eV at the n_TOF facility at CERN. The simultaneous measurement of neutron-induced capture and fission rates was performed by means of the n_TOF BaF2 Total Absorption Calorimeter (TAC), used for detection of γ rays, in combination with a set of micromegas detectors used as fission tagging detectors. For talented athletes, these pressures are intensified by the establishment of dual-career discourses that construct the combination of high-performance sport and education as a normative, ‘ideal’ pathway.
