Elektroutlenianie odpadowego syntetycznego oleju silnikowego w wodnym roztworze H2SO4

W pracy przedstawiono badania nad możliwością wykorzystania odpadowego syntetycznego oleju silnikowego do bezpośredniego wytwarzania energii elektrycznej. Pomiary przeprowadzono w zakresie temperatur 293–333 K. Obejmowały one elektroutlenianie emulsji odpadowego (zużytego) syntetycznego oleju silnikowego na elektrodzie platynowej w wodnym roztworze H2SO4. Do wytworzenia emulsji wykorzystano niejonowy środek powierzchniowo czynny Syntanol DS-10. Maksymalna uzyskana gęstość prądu wyniosła 22 mA/cm2 (dla temp. 333 K). Wykazano więc, że istnieje możliwość bezpośredniego wytwarzania prądu elektrycznego z odpadowego syntetycznego oleju silnikowego, a więc zasilania nim ogniw paliwowych.
Ogniwo paliwowe zasilane emulsją oleju rzepakowego

W pracy przedstawiono badania nad możliwością wykorzystania oleju rzepakowego jako substancji czynnej do zasilania ogniwa paliwowego. W tym celu zbudowano testowe ogniwo paliwowe. Ogniwo zasilano emulsją oleju rzepakowego. Jako detergent zastosowano Syntanol DS-10. Wykorzystano anodę z katalizatorem platynowym oraz katodę z katalizatorem Ni-Co. Pomiary przeprowadzono w temperaturze 293–333K. Maksymalna uzyskana gęstość prądu wynosiła 2 mA/cm2, natomiast maksymalna moc ogniwa 21 mW (dla temp. 333K). Pro-enkephalin opioid peptides are abundant in porcine and bovine splenic nerves, but absent from nerves of rat, mouse, hamster, and guinea-pig spleen

The opioidergic innervation of the mammalian spleen and possible species differences were investigated. Light-microscopic immunohistochemistry revealed that splenic nerves of bovine and porcine spleen, but not of rat, mouse, hamster and guinea-pig spleen contained proenkephalin-derived opioidergic innervation. Immunoreactivity to both prodynorphin and pro-opiomelanocortin was absent from splenic nerves. In bovine and porcine spleen, fibers immunoreactive for met-enkephalin, met-enkephalin-Arg-Phe, met-enkephalin-Arg-Gly-Leu, leu-enkephalin and peptide F formed perivascular plexus, traveled in trabecular connective tissue, and extended into the capsule. The function of the mammalian pineal gland is regulated primarily by the sympathetic system. Arginine-vasopressin (AVP) may also be involved in the regulation of pineal melatonin synthesis under experimental conditions. The present study was conducted in the AVP-deficient rat strain, the Brattleboro rat, to investigate whether the numbers and rhythms of pineal "synaptic" bodies in this strain are different from those found in intact rats. Określono wpływ napromieniania strumieniem elektronów dawką równoważną stosowanej w praktyce podczas sterylizacji radiacyjnej endoprotez chirurgicznych (26 kGy) oraz dwukrotnie większą (2 . 26 kGy) na zmianę struktury PE-UHMW o nazwie handlowej „,Chirulen 1120”' (tabela 1) służącego do otrzymywania panewek endoprotez biodrowych. Badania eksperymentalne i teoretyczne koordynacyjnej polimeryzacji etylenu przeprowadzono wobec katalizatorów otrzymanych z prekursorów - kompleksów halogenków Ti, Zr, Hf, V z organicznymi zasadami Lewisa, nośnika magnezowego [MgCl2(THF)2] i związków glinoorganicznych. Określono zależnosć pomiędzy rodzajem halogenków w prekursorze a aktywnością katalizatora wanadowego. Ustalono profile energetyczne reakcji insercji i terminacji (beta-eliminacji) oraz przeniesienia atomu wodoru beta. Obliczone wartości barier insercji, a także energii wiązania etylenu do centrum aktywnego dobrze korelują z wynikami polimeryzacji. This contribution analyses the difference between the enforcement system provided for by the European Union legal system and the one set up by the World Trade Organisation. The reciprocal and bilateral nature of the WTO obligations and the possibility for the parties to a dispute to have recourse to negotiation (in ways not always foreseen and regulated by the Dispute Settlement Understanding) in order to resolve the issue of implementation in the post-adjudication phase of the dispute settlement procedure are features that by-and-large differentiate the WTO legal system from that of the EU and also explains the differences between the remedies provided for by the two systems.

The following article is an introduction to the Adalbert Stifter’s short story entitled Granite in Polish translation. The article explains the political and cultural origin of the work, its poetical form, its ethical and philosophical meaning. The Granite, included in the short story collection (Colorful Stones, 1853) is considered to be an important declaration of Biedermeier movement in Austria, its aesthetic as well as its ethic tradition, manifest of which was so-called „Gentle Law” (das sanfte Gesetz), i.e. an ordered existence harmony and an unspectacular, daily practising the humanism in the personal, country and social life.
