Skuteczność wentylacji grawitacyjnej w budownictwie mieszkaniowym
2013
Skuteczność systemu wentylacji jest znaczącym problemem w budownictwie mieszkaniowym.W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań systemu wentylacji grawitacyjnej w lokalach mieszkalnych poddanych termomodernizacji.
Futile Therapy versus Worthy Dying: Anthropological and Ethical Arguments
2020
Nowadays, issues related to the final stages of life stand more and more at the centre of problems relating to life and health, which result, for example, from the demographic situation in highly developed societies. In the last decades of the twentieth century, an explosion of therapeutic possibilities in the field of technical medicine has caused such questions to be voiced more and more frequently: Should humans try to live as long as possible, or should they live as long as they can with dignity and then die with dignity? Despite the seemingly obvious answer, there is still considerable medical and social resistance to the policy of discontinuing futile therapy. There are probably many …
Work commitment and engagement in south Italian volunteers
2009
Objectives. Recent research on volunteering has increased its interest in integrating different theoretical models such as motivational and socio-psychological ones. The current research replicates and extends a Swiss survey (Guntert, 2008) among a sample of Italian volunteers. The aim was to examine the antecedents (mainly in terms of motivational factors and identification) of outcomes such as commitment and engagement towards volunteering. Methods. To examine these antecedents and the outcomes, a questionnaire was administered to a sample of 165 young Italian adults who were engaged in various voluntary associations in south Italy (Campania and Sicilia). Workaholism and work engagement: how are they similar? How are they different? A systematic review and meta-analysis
2019
Workaholism and work engagement can be depicted, respectively, as the pathological and the healthy form of heavy work investment. In spite of their different definitions and outcomes on individual and organizational life, workaholism and work engagement are not clearly and adequately distinguished by scholars and researchers as they appear to show some overlapping features. The aim of this investigation was to meta-analyze available studies, selected by systematic review, on the relations between subdimensions of workaholism and work engagement. Thirty-five studies were eligible for analysis. Associations emerged between Working Excessively and Absorption (g = .34), Working Compulsively and…

The Path from Ethical Organisational Culture to Employee Commitment : Mediating Roles of Value Congruence and Work Engagement
2016
Following the Job Demands-Resources model’s motivational process, this study investigates the role of person-organisation fit and work engagement as mediating processes between ethical culture and employee commitment, where ethical culture is seen as an organisational resource. It was expected that the stronger the ethical values and practices are experienced to be, the more compatible employees feel with the organisation. A good person-organisation fit was further hypothesised to act as a personal job resource for the employees, who would consequently experience higher work engagement leading to stronger affective commitment and less turnover intentions. The study used questionnaire data g…
La organización del trabajo por proyectos: La fábrica de la precariedad laboral
2019
The project-based organization, considered as a radical reorganization of work around one or more simultaneous projects, is nowadays widespread in large companies and public administrations. According to the managerial way of thinking, this system would be virtuous: by giving more autonomy to the employees in the act of production and by developing their skills through mobility and interdisciplinarity of work teams, it would be able to arouse their full commitment. This study confirms in some way how this opinion has been imposed, but at the expense of precarious working conditions, increasing the dedication of employees and silencing any form of criticism. The research is based on a review…
Newcomers in the Workplace
2019
When newcomers enter a workplace, the focus is usually only on orientation and onboarding tactics, which aim to socialize newcomers into the workplace. However, it is through workplace relationships that newcomers make sense of their work tasks and create an understanding of “our workplace.” This chapter describes the processes of interpersonal communication in the workplace during a newcomer’s entry phase. Newcomers may face uncertainty regarding professional performance, relationships, job tasks, or membership. This uncertainty is managed by information-seeking strategies. In social interaction with others, newcomers construct their belonging through membership negotiation and identificat…
Lęk i stres - jak radzą sobie z nimi policjanci? Wyniki badań własnych

Przywróćcie nam przyszłość! Kreatywny potencjał nostalgii w kontekście publicystycznych tekstów Aleksandra Hemona
2014
