Tässä artikkelissa tehdään katsaus aineettomien oikeuksien eli IPR- (intellectual property rights) aineistoihin erityisesti suomalaisesta ja eurooppalaisesta näkökulmasta. Keskityn patentti-, hyödyllisyysmalli-, tavaramerkki- ja mallioikeusaineistoihin eli teollisoikeuksiin jättäen tekijänoikeudet tarkastelun ulkopuolelle. Ego Impairment Index (EII-2) as a predictor of outcome in short- and long-term psychotherapy during a 5-year follow-up

Objective This study examined the predictive ability of the Rorschach-based Ego Impairment Index (EII-2) on outcome of psychotherapy in different types and durations of therapy. Method A total of 326 outpatients suffering from depressive or anxiety disorders were randomized into receiving solution-focused (n = 97), short-term psychodynamic (n = 101), or long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy (n = 128). Psychotherapy outcome assessments during the 5-year follow-up period covered psychiatric symptoms, social functioning, and work ability. Ocena przydatności loci barkodowych do identyfikacji gatunków roślin łąk i muraw kserotermicznych. Komunikat

Analiza sekwencji kilku loci nosząca nazwę barkodingu, została wykorzystana do identyfikacji gatunków roślin występujących w środkowoeuropejskich zbiorowisk traworoślowych. W toku analizy przebadano użyteczność 14 regionów chloroplastowych i jednego jądrowego do identyfikacji gatunków. Osiem spośród nich (matK, rbcL, rpoC1, trnH-psbA, atpF-atpH, trnL, psbI-psbK i ITS) wykorzystano do stworzenia kombinacji barkodów, które umożliwiają określenie tożsamości próbki tkanki roślinnej o pochodzeniu łąkowym, bez konieczności porównania z kluczem do oznaczania roślin.

Monitoring a meat-free pledge with smartphones:An experimental study

Pledges are a popular strategy to encourage meat reduction, though experimental studies of their efficacy are lacking. Three-hundred and twenty-five participants from three different countries (UK, Germany, Australia) were randomly assigned to pledge 28 days meat-free or not, and their behavior was tracked via smartphones. Participants answered daily surveys regarding their eating behavior, meat cravings, and shared photos of their meals. Baseline data was collected prior to the pledge, after the 28 days, and one-month post-intervention. Abstract The study addressed to what extent behavioral engagement and textual integration may differ when undergraduate readers work with identical printed versus digital texts in preparation for an exam versus for pleasure. We expected that working with printed texts would lead to greater engagement and better integration than working with digital texts, but that reading purpose would moderate this effect of reading medium because those reading in preparation for an exam would display greater engagement and better integration regardless of reading medium.
