This paper presents a feasibility study on how to implement power quality (PQ) metrics in a low-cost smart metering platform. The study is aimed at verifying the possibility of implementing PQ monitoring in distribution networks without replacing existing smart metering devices or adding new modules for PQ measurements, thus zeroing the installation costs. Abstract. The Smartphone Addiction Inventory (SPAI) is widely used to measure problematic smartphone use (PSU). Although the SPAI has been translated and validated in different countries, its measurement invariance across gender has received little research attention. This study aimed to examine whether men and women interpreted the Italian version of the SPAI (SPAI-I) similarly and, consequently, whether the observed gender differences in SPAI scores, which have been shown in previous studies, could be due to true differences, rather than to differences in measurement. There have also been reports of fires, explosions, electric shocks, or loss of phone functionality due to faulty design or manufacture. This article provides an overview of acute physical and physiological dangers of smartphones that could be induced or triggered by a third party. Thanks to some technical progress in interferencefilter design based on different technologies, we can finally successfully implement the concept of multispectral filter array-based sensors. This article provides the relevant state-of-the-art for multispectral imaging systems and presents the characteristics of the elements of our multispectral sensor as a case study. The spectral characteristics are based on two different spatial arrangements that distribute eight different bandpass filters in the visible and near-infrared area of the spectrum. Se pretende llamar la atención sobre un par de frases que aparecen justo hacia la mitad de la controvertida doxografía de Aristóteles que se puede leer en las Vidas y doctrinas de los filósofos más ilustres de Diógenes Laercio V 31, y que desde luego no corresponden a ningún sistema doxográfico conocido. Pētījuma mērķis bija adaptēt emociju atpazīšanas un lielā piecinieka personības pašnovērtējuma aptaujas, izveidot Sociālās trauksmes klātienē un kibervidē aptauju un noskaidrot, kādas saistības pastāv starp emociju atpazīšanu un personības iezīmēm - neirotismu, ekstraversiju, atvērtību pieredzei, labvēlīgumu, apzinīgumu - sociālās trauksmes rādītājos klātienē un kibervidē. Papildus noskaidrot, kādas saistības pastāv starp vecumu un sociālās trauksmes rādītājiem klātienē un kibervidē. Pētījumā piedalījās 511 brīvprātīgie respondentie. RESUMEN El presente estudio investigó las relaciones entre la autoestima, la soledad y el uso problemático del smartphone y las diferencias de género. La muestra fue no probabilística y estuvo compuesta por 202 participantes (106 hombres y 96 mujeres), con edades comprendidas entre los 18 y los 58 años, que completaron las siguientes pruebas: Smartphone Addiction Scale, Social and Emotional Loneliness Scale for Adults y Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg. Se calcularon los estadísticos descriptivos, la prueba U de Mann-Whitney, análisis de correlación bivariados y dos modelos de regresión múltiple jerárquica.
