Impact of information and in-home sensory exposure on liking and willingness to pay: The beginning of Fairtrade labeled coffee in France.

This study was conducted to assess how the Fairtrade label interacts with the perception of intrinsic product characteristics on liking and purchase decisions and to estimate the evolution of this interaction after exposure to the coffees and/or exposure to ethical information. In a first session, 119 consumers gave liking scores for 2 regular and 2 Fairtrade coffees under a blind tasting condition. An update of the known distribution and status of Cherax spp. in Italy (Crustacea, Parastacidae)

To date, only two Cherax species have been reported to occur in Italy, i.e., C. destructor Clark, 1936 and C. quadricarinatus (von Martens, 1868), both in the wild and in aquaculture farms. Therefore, we aimed to update their current status and distribution in Italian mainland and Sicily. In addition, we investigated the origin of their known populations, and their possible routes of invasion. We have studied optimal sample allocation, associated with small area estimation, when the objective is to obtain as accurate estimates as possible, for the population and for the subpopulations, called as areas here. It is a question of a two-level optimization problem. The basic premise is composed of planned areas, stratified sampling, and small overall sample size predetermined by restricted time and budget resources. Nel corso dei lavori di ammodernamento di una strada di grande comunicazione in Sicilia, si è valutata la possibilità di utilizzare come materiale di costruzione un’argilla di alta plasticità trattata con calce, proveniente dagli scavi eseguiti in una parte del tracciato. A questo scopo è stata avviata un’estesa ricerca sperimentale in laboratorio e sono state verificate le condizioni di posa in opera del materiale con la realizzazione di un rilevato sperimentale. Nella nota si illustrano i primi risultati della ricerca riguardanti: prove di taglio diretto, prove di compressione ad espansione laterale libera e misure di suzione.

The paving grade bitumen used in the production of asphalt mixtures for road construction is significantly able to affect the in-service performances of flexible road pavements. It has been proved that, when subjected to loading conditions comparable with most pavement operating conditions, bituminous binders behave as linear visco-elastic materials.
